i think that would be a good addition

You have to have an uzi and when u fire out of the car you have to be going slow or the bullets wont come out

the driver cannot shoot only the Person in the back can

The Person in the back will have to press D when the Uzi is Equipped then u have an aim which u can control by mouse, then u can fire all around the car

i think this would be fun. Chases

In which direction would the projectile go? From the left or right?

Could go back to Graal's roots and refer to the player's direction of attacking while on a horse.

Or you can just press up to face up, down to face down, left to face left, and right ot shoot right...and have it so when you press the fire button it fires in whatever direction you're facing. Passenger should be the only one able to shoot.

When u have an Ice Cannon on Zone it could be like that but then again Gerami has a better idea, Press Up u shoot up and so on.

No, because Era is only 4 directional so mouse aiming would be kind of dumb.

2 for cars, and you don't really aim with the mouse...only click to shoot.

I mean to shoot backwards outta a car (U could shoot both ways in GTA with a cheat) And so could ur passengers im just saying only the passenger can shoot out and it should be all 4 directions
and scrap that idea about a mouse cos if we had to aim and shoot with that we could shoot \ that way

With a cheat you can be invinsible with a flying car 0_o dont go by the cheat options lol

Just display the idle and shoot animations for the passenger firing, and have them able to switch directions freely. Simple.

Just remember not to use player.x and player.y in regards to where the bullets emit. The player is lagging behind in the car while his head is displayed as an image in the back seat.

Cars themselfs travel faster than bullets. You'll probably end up hitting the person in the front seat.

I've already abused multiple bugs with cars to do drive-bys :{
And most of the time you do actually end up killing the driver.

Also, Era has a click-shoot gun, which is what I used most of the time. But even so, it's really really hard to hit somebody while you're in a car because you don't know what the driver is going to do. And even if you hit somebody it's really really hard to kill them because you need to shoot them six or seven times and they can usually get away after being shot once.

Cars are maneuverable enough to properly chase down and keep shooting somebody. If they run past you and then quickly change directions they gain about 4 seconds on you by the time you've turned around. And if they run across grass they can just outrun you...

In short: DRIVE BYS ARE IMPRACTICAL

Would be fun, Cos when me and my mate jeffy get into the car and then get chased nothing happens we just end up losing em.. if we were to shoot from the back to would be more satisfactory blowing up cars and people inside

It's not worth it. People can easily run between buildings, over grass patches, and only an idiot will get killed by a driveby shooter. Cars on Era aren't setup for it.

Not really. People in cars already only take 1/4 damage from incoming bullets, so giving them increased damage for outgoing bullets, as well as the speed that they get just from being in a car would make them nearly impossible to kill.
Even without the decreased damage, you can outrun bullets in a car, so if you're smart you should never get killed while driving.

Why should somebody that can't get killed be able to kill?

Next time you're online we can get a car and use a 2.5dmg click-shoot gun and drive around abusing and trying to kill people, and you can see how hard it is. :{
And then imagine that same thing but with a gun that does less damage and only shoots in a couple of directions.

The problem isn't so much with the application of it because, regardless of how effective/useful it is to actually kill people, it'd still be a fun thing. But it'd be too hard to get it balanced properly.

Also, we arent going to have driveby's on Era. The idea has been given to staff over and over again for years.
