Kingdoms...

Do we have too many with the current playercount?

My answer to that is yes.

Maybe its time we eliminate 2 of the kingdoms.

This will not only have 3 left but will make them more active. As is the two kingdoms most active are CP and Forest but having a 3rd one around would make things intersting.

I don't think this is such a good idea. The reason there is 5 different Kingdoms is to get people a varity. A choice of how to RP. But since only really CP and Forest actively pracitce RP these days I guess that doesnt matter. But still no, because either way. 2 leaders are getting screwed.

I have already ran this idea past Bjorn and Stefan, they said no. So uh, sorry bud your all out of luck.

I agree though, it is a good idea. Even making say Dustari and Samurai 1 independant nation. And Forest and ZR one independant nation. It would work well imho.

Pmode is a good way for new players to look around and learn how to play without getting killed every 5 minutes.

And have two islands with no kingdoms? Not to mention that the people in the abolished kingdoms who aren't willing to take this would just splinter off and maintain their kingdom "unofficially".

Oh so true. A judging by the way Raven worded this thread. Those kingdoms are to be Dustari and Samurai. I don't know about Stephen. But I know Strom wouldn't want to lose his kingdom again.. not that he's online enough to care.

It is sad. But name one level 110 in p.mode. I don't think there is any.

Could be fixed by separating the kingdom internally with a central leading party?

My answer to that is yes.

Maybe its time we eliminate 2 of the kingdoms.
Then the solution is to bring more players. Eliminating 2 of the kingdoms won't force the remaining 3 to be active.

Besides... we have way too low of a playercount.
The more practical solution is to get that playercount back up- not to give up (unless a replacement for GK comes out )

the only thing players can do to raise the playercount is to play. we need more dungeons and monsters imo. also more items with varied stats (not saying better items)

If players decide that they want to merge kingdoms, they can, and then the king can just kingdom leave after the merge happens and no one would be in the kingdom, then maybe it would be ok to delete that empty kingdom, I don't know if I like this idea though, Ravenblade.

then how about merging a few of the deader kingdoms. You can utilize both kingdom islands. One for the merged kingdom and maybe one for multi-kingdom training. like we could put a castle on it, etc and kingdoms can just train on it for when war comes.

I'm not even sure why the kingdoms are a matter of interest for players anymore. They don't provide anything - ask a member for something and I'm sure you'll get a line of lip or laughed at, even if you're only asking for advice or directions.

Now with FAQs they're even more meaningless than before. This is frustrating for me because I'm trying to develop my kingdom to present the player with more options, and essentially provide them with reasons to not only be in the kingdom - but to create a community.

The reason it frustrates me is because I'm offering players a chance to voice their ideas or even suggestions based on what they do and don't like about Graal Kingdoms as a whole, and hear hardly a hoot. It's like the players want to have fun, but they're not even sure what fun is... lol

The problem with trying to offer your kingdom more is that you would need something totally new that they can't get on main (besides making a house).

People make threads all the time about new things for GK, and if they are good ideas, then it will get done.

Right, because previously it was the GermanKr3w.

Good news, I'm not. The problem is they weren't asking opinions - I am, and another great thing about me is I'm not a ball of foreign language and cultural mishmash... and I come in five different flavors.

I'd like to start GK again, I quite after 2-3 weeks of gameplay.. theres just nothing to do, just; Mine, eat, level.. it gets quite boring. I like Stephan's idea; I think it'd help others like me, who get bored easily, somehow latch on.

I don't see this in Crescent Pirates. I always manage to get ahold of higher ups whenever I need/want anything from them... like Felix, Fayt, Maroku. There's at least a few things a kingdoms still provide people with. Kingdom leaders should be the most trustworthy people, next to staff. People who buy EA's and can't apply them to armour themselves... they have trustworthy kingdom leaders to do it. Got no friends on GK and want to form a party or work with people together on anything? Get some people from your kingdom...

Instead of removing things that have been around for years and are somewhat tradition, how about try improving the playercount with fresh ideas instead of diminishing the old to cater for the current?

i dont really think its the very beginning that gets people, im sure noobs love running around from level 1-10, but once they get to what, level 15? they realize that everything after that point is EXACTLY the same, and then they see people who are level 110, and say... "ok.. theres no way im killing dievils for the rest of my life to get to 110."

The reason it's soo hard and takes really long to level is so that people would never get max level in every skill so they won't have to reset the server every time people reach max level and to keep people playing just to get better than anyone else.

still doesnt change the fact that raising mental is virtually the only way to get to 110...
