sparring is easy compared to other types of PKing but its the basis of all PK. if you're not a decent sparrer you suck in everything else that involves PK. ne players should be incentivated to spar because it's the quickest way to earn skill

moving it to unstick would be a great idea

Flamethrower doesn't spawn flames in the spar complex, I don't think it'd be any different for an outdoor one.

People will find a way. It's very easy to restrict things in a single enclosed level. Yet there are some effects and functionalities available ONLY on the gmap (Cars, Helis, Nukes, etc. etc.) above and beyond the original restrictions, which would have to be applied to multiple levels, probably at odd sizes. I personally just see a huge workload for no positive gain.

Tossing a P4 you planted and picked up a mile away just to bypass the restrictions.

Beyond this, it would require an area the size of, if not larger than, the soccer field. The area around it would have to be no-pk for observers, and would have to be substantial in size (at-least a dozen tiles around the perimeter of the arena) to prevent basic grenade/fire/projectile effect interactions, as well as pk-flag abuse (surrounding it with bombs/melee lame). I picture like a Sparring Colosseum.

Further beyond, the arena itself would have to be placed within a single gmap level, or the scripts might not function properly/passing through gmap levels resets projectiles & causes lag. (Oh that guy is walling me? let me just hop through this level link to reset his projectiles, crap it lagged me for 2 seconds *axe)

An area fitting this description, within a radius from unstick me to the current sparring complex simply doesn't exist.

Switch the @SparringComplex and the @EasternLockers, this shouldn't take more than #2minutes.

Awesome. I can't check it out for another 5 days. Something 'i can't talk about' on the forum.

2v2 would be pretty epic to be honest. You have the scripts in the TTS level but never worked out as well as you wanted it to. Maybe work on it a bit more and try get it in the spar complex.

Where did you move the complex to?

I could, I believe it's best to make new ones though. I just need to figure out how it works (feel free to give your input). I was considering a team registration; I would add myself and another player as a team (possibly more [gangs?]) and from there I can challenge other teams (as long as they're both online and assuming the spar is free). Would be interesting to make bets too. Anyway, that's all I got for an idea as of now.

Edit: Weekly #1 team rewards?

The way i see it in my head how it would be done: Probably a bit far fetched and would take a lot of work but i'll tell you anyhow.

-You would say a command (In spar complex)
-It would have the options 1v1 or 2v2.
- If it was 1v1 you would have the option to stake your amount that you would bet.
- You both ready up and it activates the spar somehow (maybe warp you guys in the spar)
- The stake is only an option, you don't have to bet'.
- Same options follow for the 2v2.


Response to the challenge modes. I would say both players have to die= win. Unless you can make the same sort of format that has the two options as well.

I was thinking nice GUI's to register teams and challenge other players would be a little more convenient (I don't like chat commands) and get new'er' players to actually want to spar if there's new features. I also came up with a different challenge mode. What do you think about shared HP of 200? And to make things interesting the spar could provide weapons to make things be more skill oriented instead of who has the best gun.

I now want a spar where either the first player selects a gun, or both players agree on a gun (or pick different ones and it randoms one of the two) and then they spar using that weapon.
