Spar Complex
 

Let's face it, nobody spars these days. Very rarely you get people in the spar complex, they are all running about unstick or idling.

I've brought this up many times and suggested it and i still stick by it. I would like the spar complex moved to where era jail currently is. By doing this you move it closer to everyone and you will get more people in there. We can't argue that point because we both know it's true.

I don't want to hear lame replies like 'Oh, but it's like a min walk across the map'. Yes, it is but nobody wants to do it, that's why they don't do it.

Or, we will just put everything at unstick (being sarcastic)'' well might as well considering that's where everyone is and nothing across the map ever gets used anyway.

By having it closer = more people sparing or hanging out in there. This then gets people more involved in pking because they start sparing and become better. This will help gang activity and better quality raids.

Seriously who cares about a jail? It's a level that does not even need to be open to the public. And a quest that never gets played. Just switch buildings.

Switch it with the 'Eastern Locker' building.
Since it's not really in the East.

Then it'll be easily accessible in that area.

The jail/rules/quest/PR room are meant to be inside unstick me similar to the Events House.

That could also work. Though could merge the PR building with the events building. Would save a lot of hassle by just switching it with the locker building. Anywhere around unstick, doesn't matter.

Or you could make an outdoor spar arena in unstick. That would be pretty cool imo.
You would walk by and see people sparring and be like "why not?"

It's a good idea but won't work. To much lag.

It would be just like street PK'ing really.. sure there's _some_ lag but you could go to the spar arena if you want less lag :p

I like the idea of outdoor arena, people could watch others fight openly and like fiber said players would walk by and be like "meh, I'll add myself to the queue, hell, why not?"

Would this affect normal street/gmap Pk though? Probably.

This could be very useful to people in different time zones, I'm sure on the peak of the player count it might still FPS lag certain people due to idler's in 'unstick me' (Some people still have terrible computers) but off-peak this could be really fun for players and those that don't have terrible computers.

Like i said, to much lag. It would not work unless it was far from unstick area. We don't need an outdoor spar arena, we already have outdoor pking. All we need to do is move the spar complex to unstick and we will have more people sparing. It's that simple really. Nothing complicated about it at all.

I'm with koho. Moving the spar closer closer to unstick is a good idea since nobody uses it because it's far from unstick. You could have a spar queue button in unstick so people could be like "why the hell not" while hanging around there then when they die it just warps them back to unstick.

I would like to move the mall back to it's original location and put the spar complex in the mall. Thoughts?

That's not even a far move, and would displace 3 independent buildings(PR/Quest/Rules, Lottery, Gang), the slides, lottery sign, top player statues, and sewer houses.. which all belong there; for no reason.

Plus the mall building is ugly, and far too big considering its only 3-4 main rooms, all on a single floor (you could even argue the second level of stands is actually underground...)

I still support just swapping it with the East Locker building, which is rarely frequented and about the same size. Why hasn't anyone done this? It would take like 90 seconds.

Are you guys running PCs from the 90s? What do you mean too much lag?

While I don't know tons and tons about serverload, I don't see how an outdoor arena increases the lag of anyone by a considerable amount.You already have tons of people shooting and running around unstick, as well as a bunch of idlers, an extra script or too couldn't change that load much.

I don't think an outdoor spar is a good idea though. I'd just throw nitros in all day.

It could work. Or just add the spar complex to the mall. That could also work.

For those talking about an outside arena. That's another debate, that's nothing to do with this. Move the spar complex to unstick and put an outside spar arena where the current complex is.

Job done.

All it takes is somebody to get a flame thrower and hold d beside it and well, let's see if there is no lag? Or like you said, throw nitros in.
