Suggestions to fill in the gap and fix the economy (which will be forgotten... <_<)

That's right. You'll all neglect my opinion after a few weeks. But, anyway...

Anyway (deja vu just for you (I'm referring to my two consecutive uses of "anyway")), I'll start with the armor and weapons first. Look at the current craftable armor and weapons (and the armor/weapons obtained in the west haunted house). Compared to alchemy and event armor/weapons, craftable/"free" armor/weapons is very pathetic.
You should be able to "work your way up" with armor. Be able to get basic armor when you start, be able to kill weak monsters, then level up to where you can kill some slightly stronger monsters which drop parts that can be used for crafting, which can be used to make slightly better armor, rinse, repeat, until you reach a certain point. But, that might make things a little too fast. Perhaps adding new sections to the mines that you can break open when you are a certain level and mine different minerals used for some of the later-on craftable armor. Alchemy armor would pretty much just be an alternative slightly-higher-than-average level armor because alchemy recipes can't be obtained by everyone.
... That paragraph got very long and boring, and the others will probably end up being the same.

Now, there's the overpowered and/or ridiculously rare event items. The main problem is that they just get more limited in supply every year, which causes their value to inflate. Perhaps after X amount of time since their release, they get re-released in some form? (Simply holding events for them again, making some sort of quest to get them that can be done X times a year (not for each person, for everyone... if that makes sense), or putting them in the event coin workshop.)

... Damn it, I ran out of things to say. And it's 3:41 AM.

Scammers and USD'ers, you are now free to disagree with me because you don't want to lose the "power" you hold.

I never thought of that. I don't like the idea of eventing them back off, but the other stuff seems okay. Making stuff craftable in the EC shop would at least keep the values from jumping around. The only time where I could see the use of eventing off more items is in the kingdoms, especially if the rumors I've heard are true.

That's a good one too, actually. The only thing is, levels still factor into that, and folks with really high phys could take out people more easily that way. Same goes for magic users.

You shouldn't be able to sell event items to the shop, either. Too many scammers do that for the sole purpose of majorly inflating the economy (that's what happened to the inferno swords when they went from being worth 300 diamonds to being worth ring of War).

Yeah. I could've made a whole lot more money if I had bought someone's pair of Sammy Boots of Haste and destroyed them.

at least the level 110s would be killable this way. if not we'd have to have the level 30s find a way to break -87ac, which wont happen. This way even a few level 30s could go in and, if they were smart enough, find a way to easily fell the level 110 opponent.

Well, there still would be the possibility of someone with a terribly high phys killing those lvl.30's in one hit with a Bile weapon.

Well, stop complaining and downing every issue people. Or let the game die. Its your choice. You all have to agree on something. Even if you agree to let the game die. I really want to know what everyone's stance is. Will you agree to consider some changes without always complaining about small details? Or will you all argue everything out until judgement day and achieve nothing?

The RP admin would have to be (preferably) someone neutral to the outcomes of RP affairs on GK, someone in the same vein as Stefan, Unixmad or Björn who really don't play the games but keep abreast of what's going on [don't interject with disparaging comments towards the three aforementioned individuals, please]. Otherwise, anyone who is invested in a certain kingdom/power struggle *and* is RP admin will naturally be biased in the direction of his/her agenda. Since I consider RP to be a client-side issue, really, I wouldn't see the need for an RP admin if everyone just plays fair. But, yeah, that's not happening.

True, but it's sad how this fact hasn't really been recognized enough by the staff after it's been said 1,000,000 times.

Well, taking the comprehension level of the English language of certain staff members (*COUGH* SAM*COUGH*) in consideration, that isn't much of a surprise.

A few people saying it 1000000 times in the end still amounts to a few people saying it. Notice there are very few people active on the forums when compared to the general GK population. It seems like a few very vocal people are making it seem like "the death of roleplaying" has come about, but these same people sit all day in Bomb Trade or their playerhouses or some other building, and never come out and actually do anything. If you want to RP, you gotta do it in public where others can participate. Items and levels have nothing to do with its demise---its demise lies here, IN THE FORUMS, where people are more active than they are in GK.

There's plenty of people that agree, but don't really say anything. Which is useless.

This only happens because roleplaying pretty much requires several people. And too many people can't be bothered to roleplay, so nobody else bothers to either. x2.

Items and levels have killed wars and replaced them with "OMGOMGOMG HOOEVA IZ LEVL 107 PHIZ ADN HAS TEH LETE ITmEZ WINZ!!1!!1!1111!11!". There's also the staff who think game mechanics = roleplay (game mechanics DO NOT equal roleplay, by the way). And everybody's too busy with item collecting and/or leveling to roleplay. x3.

I am in the trades simply because it's the central nexus of socialization on GK. And don't say that I don't participate in events, Cheops. Alan knows for a fact that I do. But I digress. I am no longer a part of CP.

But that's where the items are---you want RP, right? Go make RP, no one's gonna hand it to you in Bomb Trade.

No comment on your event participation.

Nobody's came to any of it that I've tried to put together. There's no use in it now. Roleplaying on GK is about to be snuffed out completely, whether we'd like to think of it that way or not. I see it happening a little more than I used to, sure, but I also see it spiraling out of control.

GK doesn't need RP. When GK needs RP, it'll call you.

Andrew, why do you think the RP Team was created in the first place? Apparently, you haven't even stopped to think about that one.

For one who joined the RP team, that is hypocritical. GK does need RP, damn it, but we get endless item collecting and leveling instead. There used to be a good bit of RP'ing, then came the unbalanced items and exp glitches, and RP went down the drain.
