Wink The New World

Supposing that the Dustari continent on 2k2 is the same now as it used to be, and I have any input, this is what Dustari will be layed out like on 2k2. This is, of course, assuming that I have input and I am not shoved aside!

Heh, I love the symbols you used on the map.

On a more serious note: how will the contour of the landscape affect the construction of houses and whatnot? It looks like the castle and the capital city are on sloped ground.

Fun.

Could use possibly another town for the manufacturing part of Dustari. Maybe a business section where the market is along with all the merchants.

The major industrial center of Dustari is Torub. Major commercial center is Harbor Town.

Placing Baritol so close to the coat may be unwise. Capital cities typically shy away from long coastlines, as it leaves them more vulnerable to sea attacks. A few shiploads of men landing in the bay to the left of Barital could quickly overwhelm the city, especially as the troops would traverse quickly over the flat terrain. Placing it where the Forest Sanctuary is currently located may be a better choice.

Placing the castle on a mountain was wise, though if Baritol is moved inland, as I strongly urge it is, it too would have to be moved farther up the range, to stay close to the capital.

As it is currently situated, the Ratlands are in the greatest danger, being so secluded from the other cities. Judging from the name, however, I can't assume you place too much importance on it.

The map is not as accurate as I would like it to be.

Baritol itself is quite inland, just the symbol makes it seem quite close to the coast.

I'll be creating a second, more definitive map later on that will explain things much better.

In that case, it is imperative that the castle and capital be moved. As it is, Torub is grossly unprotected. Reinforcements from Baritol and the castle would arrive far too late, and I cannot imagine a Forest Sanctuary would house any great number of troops. The Harbor Town's defense would be slightly weakened, but not too terribly. Certainly nothing compared to the peril Torub is currently in.

Ah, that is good. But Torub would still be in considerable danger.

You can't defend our north western seas because you cannot swim

Maybe you should create tiny little sailboats in masses and raid any ships that come by
