In regards to hit detection. I believe I did touch on that without using those exact words. Quite a few developers have offered their help yet quickly realized they were in too deep and left. Unless you actually scripted for Classic you wouldn't understand that the movement and HD are intertwined.

This is true, but not for the reason you think. It has everything to do with the fact that the systems are a webbed mess with no structure or logic behind them. They're a collection of random elements thrown together just to make it function, and not even in the right way. Trying to manage this mess is a task that's nothing but frustrating.
