So, we cannot discuss something graal related on the graal forums? Pfft.

Anyway, while the original poster was not very courteous in his request, it is an entirely valid one. This thread breaks no rules, so why did you close it? Your completely arbitrary decisions to close threads require some rethinking. It is simply hilarious that LegoBomb predicted such a negative response.

Sounds like a valid request, but it is very unlikely that it will be fullfilled.
You did not pay for a guaranteed uptime of 100%.

I hate those blank spots. Graal has a lot of those. And things they imply then deny in the future, like beta testing XD

Why is that? People were denied a service for two days. It is not Graalonline's fault, but it is most certainly not the players' fault either. So, they seek Graalonline's kindness in restoring to them two gold days that they have missed out on. How is that a stupid request?

And the time they lose when logged off and asleep? Should they get that back too?

It could cause a problem or two so that may be why you need to count those days as a loss.

Except that the point argued is that this time was unavailable to anyone, and thus should be credited to everyone. It's a valid point. I don't advocate this point, but by the same token I won't let it be discredited by an invalid one.

So everyone with a gold account should get 2 free days of gold because some servers were down...? That doesn't make sense to me, but hey, I'm all up and on free gold time!

It makes perfect sense that people would want a day of gold time as recompense for when they could not access Graal Kingdoms for a day...?

I don't see why we should pay for things we don't get.

No access to gold servers for 2 days, please compensate me for these 2 days of which I have gold time.

Well, it was closer to a 24 hour period, so asking for one day is more appropriate than two.

The only server where having a gold account matters was down
all you need is Classic membership to play the other servers
so your point that there are other things to do doesn't really mean there was a way to use up your gold days

I paid for 6 months of being able to log on to a graal gold server at any time. So if i couldnt access it for 2 days I feel i should be credited. There was no gold server for us. All accounts that had gold time should get the credit.

Don't mean to be rude but its only fair.

There are several servers that you can play, having a gold account doesn't mean you need to play only gold servers.

I think it's funny how Moonie tried to close the thread, as though she was waiting for it to happen and was instructed by someone to close it when it happened
Personally, I think it's only fair that we be recompensed for the time that we lost, but I'm not going to cry about it if we aren't. A day or so isn't really all that much, it cost me about 15 cents or so, but I also think it's the principle that matters here.

It's stupid because it is TWO DAYS out of an entire year's worth of gold? People do not get run over, catch on fire, recieve the flu virus, or anything else bad just because they don't get two days of graal.

Getting worked up about TWO DAYS without graal is just pathetic. Know what i did when i couldnt play graal that day? I went outside, kicked a football around for a while. Then i did some exercises with my weights for the first time in ages. In other words, I DID SOMETHING ELSE. And that's exactly what this guy should have done, but instead he probably sat around sulking and planning out his demand for compensation.

Seriously man, if you pay a solid £10 a month for internet, and your ISP is down for two days, you don't ring up and ask for 2 days worth of free internet, do you? If there's a powercut, you don't ring up and ask for 5 hours of free electricity, do you? Unless you're pathetic, the answer is no.

Seriously, the only reason i can think of why any of you would be going along with this guy and saying his request is reasonable slash demanding for two days free gold yourself is so that you can have a nice big stab at the establishment.
Ps.If that is the reason, then lol, carry on, having a stab is one of my favourite things I just think it's stupid to demand compensation for a few hours without some game as if it were a serious matter which caused you great harm.

We are talking about Graal.

From what I know, you electric bill is directly proportional to your electric usage. I could be wrong though.

But it is reasonable. This is something that can be credited back and should be for Graal to retain its customers who pay to play Kingdoms. I, however, do not care because I only play Classic servers.

He was not able to play due to problems on Cyberjoueurs' computers, i wouldn't die for not being able to play a playerworld for two days when there are many decent others to play.

No, seriously though, of course we're talking about graal, but i was giving examples of similar setups where you pay a set fee for a certain amount of a service. Pay more attention in english lessons next time *wags finger*

Yea, i don't really know either, but if you did pay a fixed amount for a fixed amount of electricity, you'd get the idea o.o

Oh but it ISNT reasonable, and my examples should have proved that adamantly. If we don't expect such essential services like water (unless you have a water metre o.o) to compensate us with two days free water for a loss of water for two days, then why the hell should we expect something as material and unimportant as graal to pay us back two measly days?

Water is like $0.05 a gallon.
Quote:

I can put Graal in the same context as other situations just as you did.
Let's say when you gave your friend 10 dollars to buy you a cookie everyday for 10 days. One day your friend was sick and you didn't get your cookie, wouldn't you want a cookie for the day he missed? Sorry, not the best example...but this is something Graal could and should credit, unless there is a clause somewhere in the rules that states Graal will not compensate server downtime, if they want to retain paying customers.

I only put water in that perspective because the price of water is proportional to the amount you use, not a set fee for unlimited use, here in New York anyway. Even if its 11 cents a day, you are still losing =(.

My point is - what if they don't play GK? They're getting gold for free, for no reason. How will you be able to tell who plays GK? How will you know who actually missed out during that time...? I don't think it's a good idea, but like I said earlier... I'm all up and on getting free gold (:

Relevance?

I'm not advocating getting worked up about twenty-four hours without Graal. I have noted, however, that they have a valid point. Thus, I will assist their side in the debate you seem intent on having.

Don't tell other people how to spend their time. You are neither them nor their boss.

Quote:

I pay $30/month for DSL, and if it is down for two days then there is a big problem and you'd better believe I request a credit on my bill. If pay for a given time period of service, I will be receiving that time period of service or I will get my money back..

Quote:
If there's a powercut, you don't ring up and ask for 5 hours of free electricity, do you? Unless you're pathetic, the answer is no.
Except that is a poor analogy and you do not pay a set rate for time periods of power, but you pay for the amount of power you consume. There is no reason to get money back if you are not still paying extra for that period in which you have the poweroutage.

Quote:
Seriously, the only reason i can think of why any of you would be going along with this guy and saying his request is reasonable slash demanding for two days free gold yourself is so that you can have a nice big stab at the establishment.
Oh, my. I do not need any days of gold, sir. I have plenty of money sitting in my paypal account to upgrade me. However, I recognize that other, less-fortunate ones cannot upgrade their accounts so easily, and losing one or two days is a realy big deal to them. I support that side because, while the initial request was not worded reasonably, the idea itself is not an unreasonable one.

Quote:
Ps.If that is the reason, then lol, carry on, having a stab is one of my favourite things I just think it's stupid to demand compensation for a few hours without some game as if it were a serious matter which caused you great harm.
And I think that if someone pays for a service and does not receive it, they are entitled to at least try to discuss it with their service provider.

So your saying that I should buy a year of graal and because I can go outside, I should not use it ?

No. I pay to play graal kingdoms, if I cannot get access to graal kingdoms then I want money for that time.

And yes, if my ISP went down for 2 days I want my money back for those two days. I don't pay for things I don't have. If that's the case then everyone on graal should just give me a dollar, since ya know it doesnt matter much.
