Hmm, someone tell me if this link is the chainsaw smilie or ETD's desktop, I'm just curious if the page is loading incorrectly for me, or if the link is directing me wrong somehow

lol, yea, when I first saw that attachment, it was the guy getting the chainsaw in his head

I'm guessing from the title of that box that your friend is trying to use http://forums.graalonline.com/? That address seems to be temporarily broken. Until it's sorted out, visiting http://forums.graal2001.com/ instead should work just fine.
