The forum security was not the problem... the real problem is that someone got his password stolen (never use same password for more than 1 thing x.x !! )

I know that, but I asked the brock guy if he knew >_<

I have tried this before, and it is so hard and confusing. I hope I'm not at risk of anything. x_x

I just realized I am missing 50 posts. :( I think I'll lay low until these hackers decide to back off, my posts are getting eaten by backups. :frown:

I just done a new backup and setup daily backups.

If for any reason a problem should happen again, we'll be able to restore recent copy of the database.

So stupid of Angel to have her password as the same as her AIM one, silly.

And no, they was going to make me mod since I lied and said I was dating angel, which i'm not. So they thought that I didn't have a clue about the hackings so they took advantage. They unbanned me and tried making me a moderator. Which they are so silly they didn't know how to, nor could they I believe?.
Well anyways, I made a thread about the hackings and stuff which they saw and banned me.

Indeed, but it was for some strange reason. And it can be the same you just need to ask a global to change your passwords.

These hackers are really getting annoying, All my threads are gone from the past few days damn those hackers =/.

Couple of problems.

Some accounts seem to be banned from the forums for no reason, like GregoryYoshi guy and NeoJenova.

If you went back to a couple of days or a week it could be the ones banned from the person who did this last time. Moonie is at the moment "banned" because this was done when her account was gotten into so it was disabled till she could change the password. It seems the Forums were brought back to that point again.

Many mod accounts are blocked.

How was her account got into? Same with Angels? Oh right, insecurity.

Custom titles still not working. =\

No, my password wasnt stolen, I clicked on a link sent to me that was a link to the forums (or appeared to be) to look at a illegal thread(supposidly)...and they were able to retrive my cookie somehow :\

... so your password was stolen.
Duh.

You as supermod should know what a real link looks like.

No, I talked to Unixmad about this, he said they didnt get my password, and I never accept links unless I know and trust the person excpet forum links where someone is wanting me to check a post....I looked over the link, it looked just like a forum link, and even pulled up a forum page....

I saw the link.
It led to a script that was clearly distinct from showthread.php.
It contained no threadid.
It more or less clearly had an incomplete html tag.

Does not look really valid to me.
Yah, of course the problems is the buggy forums code, but the password was stolen nevertheless.

I coded that because I noticed all attacks were done from proxies or webcaches. Now it will be harder to use them ;)
