Only thing I dislike about s paint is the zoom levels, I tend to zoom at like 100 different levels on psp but in paint you can only do so much

He never said it was a bad program, he said scanning and going off of your hand made sketches works better for learning how. And I must say, I do love using scans it makes things so much easier and quicker

Photoshop = greater organization than MSPaint...

<3 layers

But MSPaint = better line / basic shape tools for pixels than Photoshop

Haha, I know, I hate that too. I found out something weird though... on the WinXP version of MS Paint, there's a hidden 10x (maybe 12x) zoom. If you use the zoom tool and click below the 8x at a certain y coordinate, it zooms even further.

8x:

10x (or 12...):

Weird, huh? :P

Oh, here's an image that shows you exactly where you have to click:

Yes, a very fine trick. I think MSPaint is way outdated, It should be updated to fit the everyday pixel artist needs, like layering and stuff. (NOT filters though)

Plus, Adobe Photoshop is bound to be crippled for Pixel Art, since its for photo editting, hence Photoshop
