Your backup is also probably corrupted aswell.

We do backups so in such a case it can be restored

First of all, the backup may be corrupted, as Googi said.
Second, it is pretty hard to get anyone to actually apply a backup.

It's next to impossible now. You have to pray Stefan does it or else it will never get done.

Not meaning to start an arguement, but you never did these thigns anyways. So it's not "near impossible now" it's just as difficult as it was before you quit/was fired.
