Phosphorus is a GOOD money-maker. At 16 charm I spend just over (I think) 30 plat on phosphorus, and say I produce 3 piles of phil. pho. I get like 45-50 plat back, and 3 piles is a low turnout for me. So usually 60+plat, which means 30+ plat profit.
Rinse your cauldron out first by making Water of the Wise. Maybe it's just a superstition but I think it helps avoid getting slag.
