How to prevent (Hacker?)

Why not adding in the extra ability or option to automatically ban players that appear in the RC window/log as that? I think it would be very useful when I'm not on to watch things

A lot of the time (for free servers, anyway) that's caused by a player picking up a NPC weapon with no image. Can you imagine an admin uploading a weapon, forgetting to give it a picture, and getting the whole server instantly banned? =X

I dunno.. it shouldn't be enabled by default, anyway. Maybe it could be a server option.

It automattically disconnects them

I just assume ban the fool for even trying to add illegal weapons

But, I do think it would be nice if a special log was made to trap these events and quite possibly, grab all sorts of info from whom ever triggered the reaction...such as an ip address or other important things...might help Stefan and Unixmad make Graal more secure against facists such as Viper

That will also show up in the window if somebody makes an npcw that goes to your weapon list running the script: "if(playertouchsme)" or "if(playerenters)", I cant remember. Some staff did that before on Babylon....annoying as hell -_-

Well on NPCs server it isn't a problem, since we can use addweapon and store weapons on a database. For offline, weapons should only add under if([condition] && !isweapon)

Who needs a lousy npc server or RC to edit player strings and stuff, Not I

Goodness.... I have already thought of a way to force/dissconnect players with a click.

The bad thing is, what if a hacker programmed a disconnection trainer and disconnected everyone on the server? Cuz last time I remember hella lot of people were warped into detention.graal because of a hacker...or at least that's wut I've heard : /

Most people who have the programming knowledge to write executables like that, don't waste their time with graal, because they have bigger fish to fry....like the www.gotmilkarchives.org ...if you could dl them all at once, that would be great.

You overestimate the class and maturity of our scriptkiddies. Cheetah or someone equally *****ic would write one, then distribute it and laugh insanely as they percieve Graal's imminent downfall, then everyone who was ever rejected from GP, FAQ, LAT, GC, or had their house turned down for trying to sneak in a fargin' goldsword would use it like mad. I dunno, maybe they think it'll get them respect.

I really hate it when sometimes it says that i'm sending illegal data through my connection, and i'd get a pm from a person on RC saying that I was hacking, and either they put me in jail for awhile, or threaten to ban me and I have to argue my way out because of this. It's horrible being accused of something you didn't do.

if that were the case thered be no rc commands

and sendtorc is serverside

all trainers are clientside

The detention "hack" was via editing the server strings, which were used to identify who goes to detention. Hell Raven thought it was hillarious, until he noticed he and all his peers are now banned on sight whether they're currently hacking or not.
