Yeah well if it was like that it wouldn't be as much fun since people would just play to raise their stats up and then sell it.. which is one of the biggest problems with games like Everquest where the people sell their accounts (for real money) to people willing to pay.

edit: I can see it now.. there would be items on ebay "Uberleet naifets bomy at level 112 - starting price: 100 US dollars"
