This is the most ridiculous topic to argue about... here's your deal:
The JPEG format was created as a compression graphics format for graphics, while the GIF was a compression format for photographs. Both were created principally to decrease the file size of the graphics, not to be higher in quality.
The bitmap format is a microsoft proprietary format that simply assigns a color on a pixel basis.
None of them is better! However, since most of our photos fall under the jpeg category... |
