2) I can see the arguments for and against stealth. Chat loggers can be effective in monitoring player activity, but they do not necessarily paint the whole picture of particular situations. They do not log nicknames at the present time, other players around that could be joining in a harassing situation -- basically environmental factors that are harder to determine based off of merely a chat log. Stealth mode provides PRs the opportunity to put themselves in situations where players think they cannot be reprimanded (due to no PRs being around) and catch those players that may be acting in an inappropriate manner. In some cases, this can be fully logged in a chat logger, but in others, which I've experienced first hand as a PR, PRA, and now Co-Manager, they cannot.

If the victim of abuse reported this in said situation the PRA or an administrator would look into this further. Hopefully in doing that we could sort out what really happened, reprimand the staff member, and do our best to rectify the situation with the victim.

No system is entirely perfect, being a staff member alone you are put in situations in which you must use your best judgement and avoid situations in which favoritism could be a factor. Unfortunately, this does not always happen -- not only on Era, but on every playerworld. That being said, we do our best to ensure that everyone encounters a fair play experience and to regulate our staff members. There have been situations in the past where we have caught this and the staff member was seriously reprimanded.

I've set up a way for that to not be the case (anymore/if ever).
