Just so everyone knows I didn't intend for this video to be in the slightest serious at all, it is completely meant to be comedic on the part of over dramatic and seriousness, a few people kinda got it! ;)

It was a joke most people that are QQing about either got fired or are butt hurt, relax its just a little friendly humor. On the side note I thought the video was hilarious.

You should know that I have worked a couple times on Era myself.

We need someone to make these kinda advertisements promoting era, in online interweb places, like reddit or advertise on youtube, hehe.

Someone was going to do something like that I think a year or so back? Might have been longer...OH YEAH it was that Scrimps kid (ForgottnFreshness or something was his acct?) he was huge on runescape apparently had like 10k subs on youtube and was trying to get people to start playing graal. Too bad they banned him because he was ridiculously annoying and pretty ****ing stupid. Oh well.

It's weird cause I was joking with godzilla a few weeks back saying "you should become PRA" Everyone thought that as a hilarous joke, even though when i was briefly PR for as long as my gold sub lasted, he prob did some of the most as PR. But still, when it comes down to ban history, the very last guy you want as a PRA is a record banned criminal, thats like giving a murder a pardon after 5 lifetime sentences, then telling him to go work in a gun shop.

But still, i don't know why MD and friends make decisions, so its not for me to say whats right and whats wrong, because idk what is happening. lul.

Why would they? The PR team should be the guys and gals sitting around, answering questions, approving uploads or something. They don't really need any staff tools.

My Graal staff life began as a part of the FAQ team back on Atlantis. We basically did the same thing. So, yes, I was, sort of.

I can't see how a GP member would require the stealth tool, either. There are ways which are better suited for keeping track of player activity.

If you wish to watch the activity of another player who has been reported doing things illegal, or continuous harassment, you would hide and watch, taking notes and snapping pictures, before confronting them, or in other cases, jailing/banning.

It's just like a undercover cop in a unmarked police vehicle patrolling the streets.

There is indeed, chat logger, storing them for maybe 2-3 months only and so on. To prevent big storages. So if a player reports someone for cussing, looking at the logs and punish. No stealth :)

the stealth is usefull to watch players. if they know there is a staff member around, they will for sure act different then when there is a staff member around

Even though swearing isn't illegal on era. If you disable the swear filter you have to accept the terms that people will swear and that you can't cry about it. Therefore any ban due to the use of the "n word" or other "harassing words" is invalid. Why see hate when you can just see a wall of stars coming your way? That's why I play with swear filter on strong.

Never saw a chat logger while I was PR

That would most likely cause alot of lag, since so many people tend to talk, and the addition of the typerwriter, would log every letter spelled out. So we will have this large file that no one wants to sift through.

So yah, never saw a chat logger. There weren't even PM loggers, as far as mass messages go.

There is a chat logger but it doesn't work the way you think it does. It doesn't log every single person, it also doesn't log every single text you say (if I remember correctly).

There is more to being a PR than just looking through logs. We also gotta look for the abusers of the sort, like hackers, macro users, glitchers, and just straight out chat of people. The stealth helps with that. When we get a report of a harasser we go and watch, take notes, then do what is necessary. Instead of sifting through a extensive log of player's chat (in which the typewriter loves to spam).
