Suggestion for a New Event

Zodiac has Classic Spar for one of their events and im wonderin why era doesnt either. If you do not know what classic spar is its basically sparring with swords like in Graal Classic on iphone. its a rectangular spar for 2 people, each person has 3-6 life. hitting someone with ur sword takes away one life from them. every time zodiac hosted classic spar, me and scama joined in a flash. me and him had a pk record of over about 37,000. im wishing era would put classic spar into their events list. its alot of fun. Anyone who agrees with me, give some support

those are a problem for era, unfortunately many ETs don't host 90% pk events

wow give the kid a ****ing break. it's a simple yet fun suggestion that can realistically be done compared to some ideas for events that would require such complex systems and rules to be done efficiently.

as if era even has a "theme" anymore. it's turned into nothing but a modern skinned unholy nation. there's tons of bullshit items that don't make any sense yet an event for classic sparring is suddenly going too far. it's not like you're opening up a spar center for sword sparring. it's just an event. it's meant to be fun and could sometimes be out of the ordinary.

all era should have is 15-20 pk events (with 5-10 maps each except the spar based ones), 2 races and maybe chance. people who like the game play to pk and they dont enjoy all the non-pk events that are hosted, only trials do cuz they can't be in gangs, suck at sparring and have a small chance to win

Doom, There is (or was, might not be in eventlist anymore..) an event called Melee fight that was exactly this. Many players enjoyed it

what exactly does the server benefit from by limiting events? if you don't like a certain event, skip it and play the next one that will be hosted.

The closest thing to classic spar is boxing. the ninja event is everyone going at it in one room with both swords and projectiles, but the boxing is 1v1 and had only close combat. boxing gave that close feel to the feeling u get in classic spar, but not close enough. classic spar doesnt require more powerful attacks like the upper cut in boxing. all players r equal and have the same strength. its all determined by pure skill. thats what i love about classic spar. no projectiles to trap ur opponent. no grenades or teaming. its just u and ur wits. i feel that it would be a great event on era just like it is on zodiac. the zodiac classic events there got about 10-20 people joining in. they have classic spar for sumoflake, spar ring, and a few other events

it's extremely hard to keep players occupied with limited resources. you should be thankful that unpaid staff members give the slightest **** about the server to develop new content. someone's gotta do it, right? if you don't like the content they release then play something else.

I meant nothing really game changing has been released in a long time. Yeah, the little things you guys have added are pretty cool, but nothing has been done to really pull in new players or keeping the older ones playing. I just miss logging in and having a nice raid just waiting on me.

Working on it, it's really not that simple.. I've been shuffling leaders and making 'new' gangs. But it's the playerbase's attitude more-so than anything we can do. It's not like it used to be where we'd raid all day just for the sake of raiding and competing with each other.

Now there's all these incentives: points, money for kills, rewards for top points, tons of guns to unlock, even more money for point exchange.. the bases are how people *****ed and wanted them... even updated with anti-run & new doors & new captures, the guns are back at .05, the healing is superior and more balanced than ever, you can get up to 150hp and always be at max speed. Yet people simply dont want to raid.

We got activity up, everyone's forced to be on their gangtag. Yesterday with 70~ people online; exactly 50% were active gang members: BV had 15, BH had 9, TS had 5, and BB had 6 (Wil fired 2 of them for not participating, so 4). Yet they legitimately refused to raid or fight us (15v4), I even tried to do some prizeless mini-gang events and BV only agreed to one after Wil logged off.

I thought it was just them being lazy, so we purposefully spoon fed them a raid by hosting BH PK, yet still only 4-5 of them joined and the rest sat at the casino/unstick (a very small margin were actually 'afk'). And not a single one returned to the base after the warp ended.

I'd love to hear some ideas. You guys love to talk about it, but never participate yourselves. (Anfo, you recently lost gang leadership because you yourself never participated?)

I don't get it, what would make you guys want to participate?
