insides are pretty generic in terms of modern day UN but if thats the style you were aiming for, you pretty much nailed it. now try to add your own touches and do things the way you want to as opposed to the way it's expected on UN. keep at it :]!

What would be considered Xelt's style? I never necessarily worked with him or anything. I've seen one of his levels in Isle of Bane but that's about it.
I was questioning myself about the grass on grass a couple of days ago, hearing it from somebody else makes sense to me.

@ Insides, I've never really seen levels with the type of style I use.

Xelt style is, for example, right below TC. Before he left Graal he would spam grass-on-grass tiles for detail and I see you over-using it on your outside levels. Xelt is a solid LAT but spamming grass-on-grass used to be looked down upon by other LATs and I really can see why (kind of ugly and only works in some situations).

Your insides are like a mix of Zodiac and UN but something just screams UN, can't put my finger on it. It's not bad, would just be nice to see something more signature. :]

Yeah I agree, grass-on-grass makes a level look cluttered, making it look like there's too much going on (which isn't easy on the eyes). But I think if it's used sparingly then it can add variety to a level and also still look good.

And don't call it Xelt style, I don't want ownership of that style

Man that was like 4 years ago, and you said yourself I "revived" it, not "created" it ;D

But I digress - I can't see some of the pics in the first post (including the outside level), but what I can see is nice. I would suggest taking a risk and making less "safe" levels i.e. be more daring in your style if that makes sense. There is no doubt that these levels look good, but there are lots like them already out there - when making levels, think to yourself "what is unique about this level?" Is it original?".

Not a fan of those muddy dungeon floor tiles, I think the tiles look ugly but that's just my opinion. But I really like the Crossfire PPK level.

I didn't really look anywhere when I did the outside levels so I wasn't really influenced by Xelt, but after going below TC, yeah I can see why you're saying that. Thanks for the advice!

I don't like the muddy dungeon floor tiles either, it just matched for the quest & those with it, are really old levels. Being more daring with leveling makes sense. Thanks for the feedback. On another note, didn't know you were still active O_O

I came back to defend myself against Crono's malicious accusations.

Meh. They look nice, but I'm not a fan of the style.

It doesn't - Mainly due to the stones in the deep water.. where the 'fall' is meant to be
