Maybe it´s something personal where everyone is different in but I think they should look like that.

To an extent cliffs are all personal preference for example, wan and crono have 2 totally different styles when they are doing cliffs

iClassic has its own style as well... imo I really don't like it, the correct way I thought cliffs are tiled is the way callimuc posted. Also I beleive it's cronos style I prefer since wans cliff perspective is pretty trippy and doesnt make alot of sense because it's mixing an overhead view with a tilted look. Thats just my opinion however.

Also not that I really care but in case you do trucker pked me with staff boots, however since it's an uc server it's no biggy, just thought I'd let you know.

A few minutes ago, I was checking out the Lexia playerworld. The Manager, Emera, greeted me cheerily, warped to me, and updated the level several times for no clear reason.

When I got out of observer mode (I have a Classic account), I began asking questions about the server. He ran off playing with random wNPCs.

When I found Emera after checking out some buildings including a small item shop that ran on chat commands and had items with names that did not make sense, I finally received a reply to my questions: "why are you saying random stuff?" To which I replied, "How are questions about your server random?" He ignored me and began to play with a tile editor, so I went off on my own.

As I was walking around, I noticed that the lamp posts where blocking me. I went back to where Emera was placing random water tiles to suggest that he used setshape2. I was shocked to see him say "just leave ffs," so I asked if he was seriously telling me to leave the server. He replied with "Yes," disconnected me from the server, and changed it to staff only.

Let's just say I'm not impressed by the way I was treated.

I haven't posted here in a while... Surprise! I am adding in to Lexia a HUD bar, that shows a notification, or your past notification, and also a new, cleaner way to show your gold, wood and crystal (the crystal mining will be finished eventually!) Attached below are some images :D

Just set up the new HUD display (not quite finished), and also working on the weapons. Thank you Mercy for the amazing graphics, and he has already made us 2 katana graphics. So, I guess 2 new weapons have been added.
  • Water Katana
  • Demonic Katana

And soon to come to Lexia...
  • Defused Abyss

These will be weapons gained later on in the game, and we will be working on some starter weapons for release soon. If you want to come on and test these weapons, just ask an online staff member.

Might look cool with an aura instead of a solid outline...or just nothing at all.

Well the thing is, we have currently two different katanas. The water katana, and the demonic katana. If I remove the outline totally, you won't be able to tell the difference, but adding a glow effect would be a nice idea. I will ask mercy when he gets on.

We are working on getting the defused abyss (attached) all up and ready for use, but it's a ***** to gani.

Maybe something along the lines of the aura thing could look like this.

Not the best in the world, i know, but if it was a .gif with the aura moving in/out, it would look pretty cool.

I don't understand how it is harder to gani than any other weapon. Infact I always found the larger equipment much easier to gani since it doesn't get lost behind the body and/or shield, so it's much easier to get it in the correct position when your trying to do the left or right facing gani (depending on which side is the off-hand of course)

On the plus side, the line art is good and the shading is passable. I would say it is "pillow shading" completely because it is like a radial shade resonating from the center of the image and there is an obvious light source coming from the top-right but I just feel there is too much block colour used in there.

I'm not the one doing to gani. I was told it's hard to gani. I don't know much about graphics, so I don't get the second half of your post, but thanks

Couldn't you just use alpha transparency for a glow effect in the PNG?

I'm pretty sure images using alpha like that doesn't float in Graal. It'd need to be alpha'd by script.

A dynamic/animated glowing effect is much more impressive than a static one.

It works just fine, a few of Elk's Zodiac graphics use it.

Defused:
To make something less dangerous.

Abyss:
A deep, immeasurable space, gulf, or cavity.

So the sword is a deep, immeasurable space that has been made less dangerous. That can't be said about many swords...

Funny Guy.

I have Codein working on the the item system at the moment. At this present moment in time him and I have no idea on when it will be finished, tested and then released. Mercy has made us quite a few amazing weapons that will hopefully be animated and released for players before the item system comes out. We are going pretty slow at the moment due to a few factors. A major one being a lack of developers in the community at the moment. But, we are fighting through and will soon be releasing some nice little updates for you guys to enjoy. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am hiring levels team to take care of the gmap and revamp some inside levels. I have decided to redo all of the levels, since none of them are really detailed or suitable for play. I need a bunch of willing volunteers who are good with both the classic tileset and are skilled with working with type 1 tiles. If you want to contact me, pm the server on Lexia with 'hireme', forum PM me or email me at [email protected]

If you want to contact me about other staff positions, then just email me or forum PM me.

Clockwork is working on them. I agree the colours used are very dull and the contrast is really low.

New website

I have take the time to construct a website for Lexia since I am learning HTML. I thought it would be a nice little project for me to set one up and see what I have learned. It looks great although it isn't anything amazing. You can find updates, application forms and much more content to come at the following address.

http://lexiacontrol.zxq.net/

Thanks!

Added a lot of features to the site Improved the look of the news display, added a PDF download with all of Lexia's original goals, added a nice little working on-line application for players to fill out instead of emailing me and also improved the sites layout altogether. A staff list has been added that administrators can edit via the site through an editor, added a contact page that will hopefully grow as we get some staff in (if we get some), and everything seems to be running smoothly aside from the Guest Book that was giving me some nasty errors. I had to shut that down until I can fix it.

I made this level a long time ago and have been working on it to practice my leveling. I can't continue doing that until the updateboard() is fixed (bump stefan)

But anyway can I have some feedback? It isn't done yet
(I know there's a tile error in the bottom left corner. I need a working editor to fix it.)
