even UN has more online players than era now lol, the thing that amazes me is that alfonso manages to be online most of the day and not get any tangible updates done..just host an auction or give away guns in events..idc do something

Actually I've been occupied with work lately and real-life issues that have not allowed me to be as efficient. Sure I might be on "daily" but you're wrong about me being on for most of the day. I was on for about half an hour today max. I come home from work at around 5 PM and pretty much don't have time to stay on Graal for the rest of the day. I do take a lot of my work at home in an attempt to have less to do but lately it's been harder for me to keep up.

However I assure you I'm trying my best to manage Era and keep the development server going in my absence. (Although you'll probably just ignore this and deny it anyways)

Hope this explains my lack of activity lately and doesn't just start another hate thread

Respect for not simply locking the thread. I always hoped that one day a manager would come around that wouldn't simply lock every thread that talks even slightly bad about the server.

I thought about making this thread a few days ago when the Era forums lacked any posts for a week straight, but I thought it would be a waste of time since they already showed us they don't plan on doing anything.

This would make a great resignation post.
Since it pretty much says "I can't do the the job I'm supposed to do because of blah."

Awhile back I posted something about the Gang Shop not being "finished or released" and Alfonso yelled at me on Era because it is "finished". So; who here sees it?

The last thing that actually got completed development wise was that good old 90% completed Gang System that required a force feeding by William and myself to finish. It has yet to be executed properly and sits unfinished and self-destructive.
That was two months ago.

However, our mighty Player World Administration team only selects people that will be utterly useless to Era and absolutely loyal to them.

Era's problem is that it needs big change, but managers always get burned out or replaced before they can bring it. Small updates like a gang shop or auctions will only delay the server's inevitable death. If the past has taught us anything, replacing Alfonso won't help because the next manager will try to start from scratch.

In my opinion, if Era had a dev-savvy manager (like Chris), it would be best to put Era into a temporary UC state to focus on developing needed changes without distraction. If the server started over fresh with something to offer besides trading, it would attract both new and old players alike. But Era doesn't have a Chris, so don't even try it.

hey alfonso, so why don't you just do/delegate something simple and quick like an auction or a couple of new gun/hat releases? or an event(s) for guns or another prize idk it's simply all boring now on era, especially considered that guns were made boring by staff

fishing rly?? whats wrong with pking related money? if making money by pk was as fast as digging,mining etc there would be more activity since it'd be fun to make money and there are way more ppl pking

Last I checked William was fairly adept at bsing GUIs and throwing together scripts.

PK money is more than enough to cover Ammo costs and most basic needs (some food, capps/lw pots) what more do you need? You'd make significant amounts if the Gang System was completed and raids became active again since you get like 200% more money for killing gang members (~$20 as apposed to 1-10)

ughhh man did u read what i wrote??? covering ammo/food is useless, the rate at which u make money by pking should be equal to the rate at which u make money by mining so that era has an enjoyable way of earning money, therefore ppl will no longer see making money as a boring task but as a normal component of being active and pking

Actually it is.
If you kill a player every 2-5 seconds (average time to get one of those rocks down.. with level 0-40 ish) and then they are randomized (refined) as 6-10$ kills, it would theoretically be the same.

Even more-so if you accomplished that feat whilst killing gang members.

The difference here being, players aren't in unlimited supply in a pk level (as rocks seemingly are) and players don't stand still until you kill them every single time.

The rate at which money is gained from PKing is fine as of now.
It is enough for a player to not have to mine or anything to afford ammo and other nic-nacs. There's no more needed than that.
Besides, alot of other luxuries are gained from being an adept pker.
Therefore, there's no need to make this one astronomical... there's no benefits foreseen.
