I don't think most people want to have to renew manually every month considering people renew way more months than they don't renew.

Agree with this, auto-renew is common sence it's a nice feature that you can cancel the grelat re-subscribe and i never had trouble finding it it's in the same place as you "purchase" subscription.

Worst case scenario for someone who wants to renew their gold every month:
When someone who wants to renew their gold every month but forgets to or doesn't know how to renew it, worst thing that can happen is that they get a trial status until they upgrade again.

Worst case scenario for someone who doesn't want to renew their gold:
Lose their gelats.

"The second you hit "Subscribe" to get Gold for the month they give you the option not to auto-subscribe next month."

Never saw this option, maybe ur paying method is different than mine.

I am quite sure that they will keep the subscribing method as the way it is, so they can keep on earning money from those that do not know.
