I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not. But on the mac client, I can't seem to "copy/paste" anything from the history. This could be frustrating for those who are trying to report their case to a GP, or to others who have a long "For sale" list that they don't want to repeatedly type out each time.

Thank you

more seriously, i just want things more simplistic. the more v6 acts like v2 the better (aesthetically, at least). also, if there is no UDP support, then i believe you are taking sparring and kicking it in the gonads while it's already being raped. it's annoying enough to have to deal with the intentional laggers without using a slower medium for those movements in general

Seriously though, the inability to copy/paste is annoying.

i think the real problem is that fact that you're using a mac

Removal of Graal# accounts. No?

Well how about the player list not moving the icons on the desktop over.

Also, no comment on my previous inquiry?

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with the community name system, it just needs better scripting support and adoption by more servers.

Is anyone else having problems with copy and paste on Mac v6? Normally all kind of shortcuts should work, including Cmd+C and Ctrl+C.

This absolutely, I find the Graal# to be really tedious. It's like having to remember people not by their name, but by their zip code..

You can enter the communityname in the stafflist, but for opening rights and attributes you have to use the Graal#, this just creates confusion for most people.

Why did they have to change the account system to the current one in the first place?

Oh yeah, can you make it so I do RC commands using Community Names instead of Accounts? Like /open MattKan instead of /open Graal752402?

Also changes that are more sentimental than useful: (Needless to say they are absolutely necessary.)
  • New Graal icon (like in the top left of the corners.) With v6, I think that all the graphics need to be revamped, and I think its time Graal gets a new icon. You might even be able to do a community contest for it or something neat.
  • New Login and Login 2 Graphics. On top of this, maybe Login server should have some more features? If you could add global guild controls at the very least, that would be great. What'd be even cooler if you could edit a "custom server list" where you can "stick" UC servers that you enjoy to the screen. But new graphics are of the utmost importance.
  • Please change the forum background to something more Graal like than just green. If possible, maybe you could replace it with a couple of pics1 tiles? Or at least blue? But seriously, this green is old and needs replacing.
  • New website. Sorry, but it is time. Please find time to do it!
  • There seems to be a section for v5 on here. Change it to v6, please!

Green has been a major color theme to Graal for many years (at least for me), the blue was recently introduced and I've heard many negative comments about it.

Ok, the shade of blue that is the background of the start up screen on Graal is not cool enough to be blue. More sky blue, not that blue. And I meant just the forums :P. Do some cool images on that screen instead :P

Graal refuses to open on secondary screens, opens on primary screen only.

I think they should bring the green back actually. I forget what version of the client it was, but it was all green and it looked awesome. I'd really like to see that style come back.

I know it's been mentioned twice now but it's one of the most ****ing annoying things ever.

REMOVE WINDOWS OPENING AT CENTER OF MOUSE BY DEFAULT
Center of the screen (if last position not stored), or cascade on last position if possible.

onwall() checks with polygons? :o

I know this thread is like... the call for last-minute additions for v6 but I think v6 has been in the works for a long time and I'd love to see some amazing additions to make it worth while. You know, some fun stuff to play with. Remember when the version in 2001 was released? Ganis, NPC server, onwall2 and all kinds of great stuff? I want that again, so much.

I feel the same, kind of.

So have another feature request: alpha masks for images and possibly particles. Pretty please?

I'd rather see v6 first, then start adding new stuff—we don't need another cycle of adding a ton of new stuff then taking two years to test it before release. I think Stefan's purpose for this thread was to get a list of any bugs still existing or anything else absolutely needed before release, not new features.

This depends on the update methods Stefan uses for v6. With v5 all the new stuff was added to v6 so we didn't get anything. If he does the same thing to v6 and waits for another major update then I don't see the point.

My point is just that I would like to see him finish everything he needs to on v6 and then release it. Once that's done then he can focus on adding new features like color expansions. The reason v6 is taking so long to be released is that he started adding so many new things and didn't finish them.

Aye, I agree, but at the same time I don't want to wait another few years for "the good stuff."

Actually v6 is already including tons of new things, but servers can only take advantage of those once all players are upgraded to v6.

I think he means some features aren't available on the beta, but will be once the beta is over and forces v6 on everyone.

I'm still having problems with altering between tilesets on v6. When a server uses more then one tileset it only loads the tileset that you logged in on using, and will not alternate to the others.

Since this thread is actually in bug reports, I'd really like to see this fixed:
STRETCHXEFFECT and STRETCHYEFFECT in ganis don't seem to flip the image when using negative values. This even works in v5. Since I'm using this (as of recently), I really need this fixed. Thanks!

From what I've noticed the sound menu doesn't save? I turned up SFX, got no sound and then restarted Graal and the bar was still at 0. I'm not even sure if Graal v6 sound is working at all, and I'm not running Windows 64bit.

It's working for me. Settings are saving, too. Got the config file on read-only?

And it wouldn't let me change my default font. It just changed it back.

Thats concering rather the gui than the client itself, but "you eat with your eyes" as you know

I think it is unnecessary having the option to resize every little window (e.g. the download-message). Windows should also have a minimum size so they won't squash themselves.
Moreover there should be an option to disable the docking of the external windows.

And why the heck are there half-baked translations for languages no one is able to speak here?

Changing the default font is very important! Especially if you're used to another font for years... XD
