Just a quick idea

This may have already been stated before but i thought i would bring this up....is there any way we can make maps stack-able...they take up a lot of room in bags and if your doing trades with large amounts there has to be some kind of trust between the traders ...cause after so many its hard to see exactly how many there are...idk maybe im crying bout small stuff but i think it would help a lot

Maps are all almost unique. I do recall them being stack-able, but it probably has to be the same map level, the exact same location and maybe the same inside type room, know what I mean ?

Craigus will become famous soon enough
Spawned maps can be stacked and have the hiratha location but i think he knows that, i agree it would be nice if perhaps all maps on the same location would stack.

Have you had a stacked map? Not to say this isn't a great idea, just I hate how you'll have to put the rest of the maps away to use that map.
I feel like what I said was vague and confusing..

stacked maps are alot better than scrolling for an hour to find the one map ya wanted...now that may be a little bit of an exaggeration but if your carrying alot of maps you can be looking for a while for that one particular map...
easy fix to the problem with having to sack stacked maps is keep em in a sack jus pull one at a time..the stacking jus kinda keeps things a little cleaner.

I'm fairly certain maps only actually contain location data, and that the dungeon layout used is based on which dungeons are currently used plus some random factor.

Yeah, I'm sure it works like that too but best would be to ask Tig.
I've had too many confusing parts with maps before so I can't really tell (horse hit by accident = hate, horse now stuck in map. Doing another map, not same level but same layout... horse is there ! @_@)

I believe maps wouldn't be so much of a worry if inventories were updated. Possibly to allow custom size and for you to be able to arrange/categorize your items better. Current system is fine if you don't have much but is like an ongoing headache when you have alot to carry all the time. This extends to maps ofcourse. It may have been great bragging power but carrying 200+ brutal maps around was not practical, especially not when wanting to level and then had to consider organizing all your brutals. Stacking maps would be a problem because of the "unique" nature maps. Off the top of my head there are 10 map locations, and 5 possible dungeons. So that's 50 different maps meaning 50 different stacks. This idea i'm afraid may only make the carrying/hoarding of MANY maps more practical, but the majority of players will feel no difference.

This is incorrect from what i've experienced. Stacked maps do already exist and contained the same location and dungeon for every map. This would rule out your random factor / currently in-use theory. However i have at times stumbled into another person's dungeon using my own map which i assume was identical to theirs. This i guess is deemed as a phenomenon because of the very low probability of it happening naturally.

Stacked maps are created by staff. Spawned maps of monsters can't be stacked.
