well 20 str n about 300kg stuff on you. it still messes you up pretty good
also most of a mage's speed comes from dex (no +5 speed on rings hi) so the dex drop is pretty severe.

Poison on a wand? Pretty nuts. The whole pvp system should be fixed in general, if we just fix 1 thing it just makes things worse and then the other party cries out that the class is lame. Melee or mage, they're both fairly good. It's hard to say which one is better, no? Seems fairly balanced to me, atleast until development can revamp the whole thing.

prehaps make it so when a mage get poisoned. that it wont lose str. so u will keep ur weight.. so that wont slow you down.

that way you would still lose speed becouse of ur dexterity being lowerd.

i think that would be more fair game,
