Nah, I don't like this idea too much. If you disconnect in the middle of a match, from lagging or needing to leave, that would get very annoying (if it kept messing up how much money/exp you were to receive). Not to mention, if one team was still laming, once the victim team got sick of being lamed and left (not getting any exp or money by doing so,) the lamers could take the bases and get rewarded. (I know both teams receive their money/exp when they lose or win, but the point is one team might constantly keep the bases from being controlled while they lame the other team so that they can get the other team to leave.) The lamers, either way, will get the same amount of exp and money, but at least with the way it is now, the other team can at least have some compensation for their kills.

Finaly people realized: Killing over and over is not the point of a game.
Even if you like it, you'll be bored after some weeks of playing / years for the nolives.

Zone used to be really attractive for me, but now I realized that my place is somewhere else: GK

Aeko is right, RECOLORS are not an update, and having more OMG COOL clothes is not the point. Zone need big updates, like the ones Tig is doing over Graal Kingdoms.

The solution to our problem is there : get Dan working ! It seems the only thing he is doing now is giving his little brother free permanent Redpistole and Bluepistole but that's the only reason why he logged on this month.

There won't be any "big" updates any time soon with the current disorganized, underpopulated development team. We'll probably try to do something about that, though.

I don't think telling Dan off is going to make him work harder. If anything, he'd probably delay more to spite people. If you want a request answered, being polite about it is the best way to go about such matters. (Alas, it is difficult to be polite, sometimes.)

Being polite is not always needed. If Dan delay'd simply to spite people, it would only show how ignorant he can be.

No matter which way it goes, if he won't get work done, we're at a loss, regardless as to what is proven. I understand that he can still delay even if we go about it on a less blunt scale, but he'd be more inclined to do so if we approach him in a harsh, demanding, and whiney manner.

It's not as simple as that. As far as I know, there's not an abundance of graal scripters (ones familiar enough to be able to handle this kind of stuff, anyway) out there. Not to mention, the way things are going, I don't think people are going to bother putting effort into the server unless they are sure that it will survive.

Well, someone better do something quick.... I'd say graal is losing 1-2 players every month... I don't even bother coming online anymore, or upgrading my account because of what it's becoming.
Maybe instead of everyone trying to do so many seperate "projects," a few real good Devs should get together and create a server that'll not only satisfy the current players, but bring in new ones...

Let's take a look at the time period of Zone. Futuristic, right? We got different planets to fight on, but, wait a tick, what about space itself? Notice how the only spacecrafts are the dropships? We don't have any space battles? Not even any freakin' space pirates? Get what I'm saying, guys? We need to take into consideration all the possible things Zone could have. We need to break away from the linear method of thinking and get creative, as well as use our common sense and try not to get overly complicated.

No, but they should. If it was moved to the regular server, it would interfere with the scripts and such that were already in place. Also, more would be needed to be done to prevent abuse such as staff giving underdevloped weapons and items to players, and creating edited ones to give to players secretly. Just as well, it would also open up the chance of any staff being able to USD items. Development should stay away from the main server.

Personally if Zone raises to a certain peak and I enjoy it once again, I may start to advertise for it, scripts and updates are required before I'm going to do anything though.

Ok let's say you guys Mini and Revo advertise and get totally new players this is what will happen : they will come on zone and go on iricia probably and then what ? They will get killed by Baris and Monokiller 50 times laming the spawnbases 24h/24h and they will just quit.
Conclusion : we need iricia win points so that the lamers move from spawnbases to play iricia like it is intented. Now there should be something like if you take 0 bases but your team wins you get really not much points, now if you get allot = allot of points of course. And no perm weps just like Tsunami's idea but not only for the holidays in my opinion.

But that doesn't mean I think advertising is a bad idea don't get me wrong.

Ive had this idea for a while now of mechs that are customizable in everything from appearence,weapons,stats, operations.

and each upgrade cost money, either zone money or specific mech wars money, ofcoarse, there ould be specific planets for mecha warfare, including space warefare for ones with flight capabilities, but special events to bring your mecha to iricia ect would be fun.

but no, too much work, plus the people who just say "L3LC0PT3R MECHQUEST LULZ"

You have to make sure you reinforce it with all your given power and provide back up for it when people question it, so the idea of having it will outweigh the benefits of not having it.

my idea is nothing like the mechs of current zone, it would be like its own specific game and you could only run around in OPd mechs against other OP mechs.

failing all else, it would make zone look prettier.

Then let Zone cease to exist if no one is willing to take such thoughts into consideration. What good is a game if it does not serve its players' wants? If you do something for fun, and it fails to supply you with the type of entertainment you want, I know not why to continue to bother with it. You could go right ahead, but I'd be out of there. It's not like this is all we have to pass our time with, but it's a shame to see such effort rot into nothingness.

If we want to shoot laser lassos at vicious alien space cows, you can argue all you want to denounce how absurd it sounds, but the player that wishes for such a bizare idea will never truly enjoy the game unless they are... shooting laser lassos at space cows.

Well that's why I said significant updates and improvements to be made first, e.g. stop laming.
I don't recommend zone to add any new systems till they've fixed the old ones.
