Your statement carries with it an assumption that personal projects are of no benefit to anyone. The only reason these projects are considered personal are because they are initiated, developed, and seen to completion by myself with little to no intervention or prodding by other staff members. Consequently, these projects are a manifestation of my PERSONAL creative endeavors.
Don't you see what I mean? I can spend months creating a huge, complex social system for Graal on the verge of release, writing nearly 10,000 lines of code while creating custom graphics and sound effects from scratch, and you categorize me with people who hardly even log on to Graal anymore?
Don't get me wrong. I don't like being in the spotlight that much, but if you want me to release an npc that changes your gani or spews a variant of a massively uncreative projectile that everyone has seen before, I can. Maybe I'll be categorized with the more active and beneficial staff this way, right?
