Future Holiday Idea...

Looks, lets keep that simple...

Maybe adding a new trader that sells special weapons(for each holiday/theme) in exchange of Holiday Points.

Holiday Points will be granted to all the players of a winning team, by example, Sweep Fleet wins; all Sweep Fleet win 1 holiday point. At a certain amount of point(s), you may buy some new weapons or some gelat weapons, or even... cookies(pack of 10)?

This would keep Zone with alot more players online each day, and make the game interesting.

Just that... It's enough to enjoy the game like anyone would like. It would stop the laming on iricia, because players would like to have that new gun in the holiday shop... It would make a new short-time era for Zone.

Talking about keeping Zone's player count high, or actually forming one for that matter -- well, what happened to that idea of Saiyan's? You know, the Zone RPG.

Exactly, This would be good. To win things which you can but items with, To me this would be a great idea. Tough i dont really play alot anymore, It would be a reason to come back.

Brian left his job and the idea was never carried out manily because Brian sucked at everything else but GFX.

That and it would probably kill Zone and weaken GK.

one problem, this christmas the only managed to bring out one half assed unfinished weapon with nothing special about it except a half decent gfx.

how do you expect them to make something like this for the next holiday.

It would need alot of efficient work on it. But once made, it could be good for all holidays, because you would keep your previous holiday points that havn't been used to purchase some items in the following holiday.

And remember, we keep getting complaints about laming... This could be an efficient solution if the Holiday Points Shop had nice weapons, new things for the players/or some weapons that the players can't afford with Zone Money/Gelat cause they don't have enough of them. They will get that message: Quit laming, win the game, and you shall be awarded.

Open your eyes... this would need work. More than 2 weeks of work. Unfortunately, I bel;eive the scripts could be a little long for this idea. This is why I said it now, instead of 2 weeks before the next holiday. They could work on this for the future.

I had an idea sort of like this a few years back... Now that I look back some of it was sorta stupid but it went like this

I don't know.... My idea has it's adventage. It would prevent laming, so players could learn how Zone is fun without JUST laming, again and again.

Awarding a type of currency thats only achieveable through Winning Iricia matches isn't a bad idea... I could see that really motivating players to capture bases.
This type of currency would need to be used to purchase something unique that can't be gained in ANY other manner though.

Exactly, so it would motivate players. And... NO PERM WEAPONS. If there is anything ''perm'', after getting these, players would quit getting bases, and get to laming again.

Heres another idea, for each weapon, you can purchase for a week or a month, depending on how much you want to spend. Of course, the 1 month option will be a little nicer price:

[Points Rifle Name] - 30 points - 1 week
-70 Points - 1 month

Perhaps have specific points for specific planets? Planet Points?
Each planet has its own Points Weapon which can be purchased for points that can only be earned on that planet. That could be interesting too.

Maybe unique outfits as well? ;P

And yes, you're right. NO PERM ;P. It will keep players focused on the objectives.

Oh, and I've supported the purchasable outfits before... And I also do now. There are already a few good ones on the gfx forums. We can even make another contest lol.

This sounds like a nice idea, but I can see it lasting maybe 3 weeks tops. By then most players would've tried most of the weapons and switch back to whatever is best for laming and camp bases or something. If you ask me it happens, just like that one new planet where you had to find the boxes to get the weapons.

i think its essentially coins that you get for being on the winning team. each planet has their own specific coin and trader, with different guns for varied prices unique to each planet, to encorage people to play on all planets and actually play the game instead of lame bases.

I realy wanna see for a holiday thing something that involves a quest system of some sort. Something like how era has quest, except you (maybe a team?) are transported onto a planet and have to make it through the level, grab the holiday weapon, make it back through the level. Just a example.

xD This game is slowing becoming a RPG like Zodiac but a mix of a RPG and FPS would be nice.

Quests + FPS = RPG+FPS

which could be a good gaming experience.
E.g. Have a quest to capture 100 bases on iricia, completion of this quest would mean 1 day of any gun they pleased

and allow a repeat and stuff

I meant quest so that it would require teamwork to achieve as well as receiving prizes at the end.

100 Bases? Ewno. I wanna explore a new level and be scared to turn the corner scared of h4xzor bots. Something like you're trapped in a base and you need to grab the secret weapon you want (There should be several and the hardest to get would be random and hardest to find) and make it out the base. With every door you enter/exit there may be bots/other alien-like things waiting to make your head go boom. Max 3 people min 1 person. You can choose between medic, commander, heavy inf.

Something like that.

Make it take some amount of teamwork since that's what Zone is about. (Well one of the points of zone)

You won't be able to make it through with 1 person though is the thing, that's why it should be so hard, you'll NEED a medic no matter what to make it through.
