Exactly, so it would motivate players. And... NO PERM WEAPONS. If there is anything ''perm'', after getting these, players would quit getting bases, and get to laming again.

Heres another idea, for each weapon, you can purchase for a week or a month, depending on how much you want to spend. Of course, the 1 month option will be a little nicer price:

[Points Rifle Name] - 30 points - 1 week
-70 Points - 1 month

Perhaps have specific points for specific planets? Planet Points?
Each planet has its own Points Weapon which can be purchased for points that can only be earned on that planet. That could be interesting too.

Maybe unique outfits as well? ;P

And yes, you're right. NO PERM ;P. It will keep players focused on the objectives.
