It's just graphics though. He could just draw "light armour" and give it the properties of heavy armour.

You realize that's basically all the current administration has been doing for years - adding "new" items with the same old stats and some new graphics.

You guys want that? You don't want new features added to the game mechanics to make it more fun? That's frustrating.

If it's the only option. I understood the situation as being "use heavy armor graphics for the heavy armor because there's no point in using leather armor". So I'm just saying, IF we're ONLY using the heavy armor, we can at least change the graphics so it looks different. (also keep in mind that most people, such as myself, don't really understand the mechanics of the armors in the game. I would assume that they're all the same basis, just with different speed-reduction and stats. But from what you're saying, it seems like they're actually divided by platemail and chainmail)

I'd prefer new features added to the mechanics of the game. But then again, I'd also like to win my state's lottery (and I don't even play).

Yes; making something in this game, which you can readily develop under, and the state lottery compare.

You forgot to say something like "winning a lottery you don't even play in."

And to address your sarcasm: From what I understand, it's up to your beloved G3rm4nKr00 to get things like that going (otherwise someone like you or Tig would be taking care of such development, right? This just goes back to my whole confusion of who has ability/access to do what for GK...). The probability of those guys doing things like that compares to me winning a lottery I don't even play in. And when I finally win that lottery, it'll probably be more like Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" instead.

As it stands only Bjorn has both the power and the "acceptible" free time to manage the server, however he is frustratingly not. It would be nice if he acknowledged this so that in the mean time someone else could manage it.

However, Stefan can upload developed projects - the problem is having qualified developers making the content - and I for one refuse to have unqualified people working on my projects simply to push a "product" out the door.

However I have managed to get two excellent scripters (Robin, Zero). They're both sort of busy and sadly Stefan is too foolish to give administrative access over debug so that I may give my developers rights they need when they need them (instead of waiting hours and hours, if not days - when they may very well not be able to work at that time).

It's very frustrating. Your best bet right now would be:
  • pressure Bjorn to step down/become more active
  • Have Stefan give me administrative access on debug so that my development team and I would be syncronized
  • Find another server
  • Find someone else to manage who Stefan would accept.

The problem with the last option is if I don't think they're a good manager (I don't have creative control over my work) I won't be developing. That's the only stipulation I've given Stefan - I must have full creative control over my work.

Seriously though Stephen, calling Stefan foolish probably isn't the best way to go.

He has very little reason not to give me administrative access, as I am the only one actively designing content and there's really no harm I could do by having administrator rights. The only reason I can think of is paranoia which is quite foolish.

A few reasons not to give me access to administrate debug? Name them - because someone sure needs to do it. Stefan unknowingly hired iSplash just a few weeks ago. -_-

He made him a scripter and gave him access to scripts - as far as he knew he had no previous experience scripting.

He won't even give me the same curteousy when I asked for access to scripts Tig and I worked on - I want to be able to tweak variables in them for optimal presentation. He's a confusing fellow, doesn't seem to follow any method.
