We plan to use it soon. We were not releasing it before because we didn't want to just add it and then it gets forgoten after a few weeks. It should really improve the game play. I understand that it can be frustating that this has not been used yet although it was already quite finished two years ago.

We'll still forget about it, as you say, no matter if you wait 2 years. And anyway, after two years, there'll be less "wow" and more "finally ..."

Now it needs to be vastly improved. Before it was amazing. But releasing what was amazing two years later loses a lot of flare.

Personally I can't wait for the "Flying Technology dream of flight!!!!" to be released so you'll all shut the hell up about it and stop complaining over something that is so obviously going to be pretty insignificant, when it has been released for a few weeks.

Don't be a clod. Stefan made it clear that it was completed and they were just saving it for a worthy event to release it.

They don't just want to throw it out there - they should have when they said they would, but they didn't. The way it's going now it may be released either during some of my work or before. Either or, it doesn't matter - it'll come when it comes, and forcing the hand won't get you anywheres.

I know, I know, I realize that few people are working on GK.

Perhaps they need to open scripting positions or whatever needs to be done, though I'm guessing scripting is the majority.

The application forum doesn't really work well since people don't really realize to apply, plus there is no standard for applications.

It's like adding a whole new dimension to Graal.

Imagine being able to zoom out and see MORE. Since it's all shrinking, you're seeing further into the north, east, west, and south, all at the same time. Truly a fascinating experience in the Graalian world.

Imagine a real-time map making use of the zoom feature. With some mouse-over capabilities, and maybe some other neat tricks you scripters can come up with, you'd have something started... not sure exactly what though. An administrator could have a nice control panel of the overworld. Look at an overworld map, zoom in to areas, towns, or just specific players. Maybe a click-and-warp feature.

Futuristic servers like Era and Zone could possibly have camera-technology for players to use...

Wouldn't this all be possible?

Working on GK requires a lot of experiences... working on GK. I'm personally not going to hire someone and wait for them to learn, especially when most people that play this game are moody and will go "oh u sed meen things 2 me. leevn now bai".

Flying technology is way to advanced for the 2D servers. It would be useless for every current classic playerworld, because they're not nearly large enough to even make flying useful; take ten minutes and you've walked all of UN, it would make the experience even more upsetting when you fly through it and see it all in five.

On the other Hand: there would be a cool way to create bigger playerworlds without using odd stuff like trams or ships - you could just fly to another continent

A three dimensional gmap would also be interesting, but probaply hard to realize.

GK isn't exactly large... especially considering the only thing that takes so long to walk across the map is the poor speed system and hilly terrain. Oh, and you're pretty stuck on the idea flying technology being used only for flying. There are a lot of possibilities for it.
I think, level wise, UN is larger than GK. I haven't counted though.

There is definitely more uses for the balloon-tech than just ballooning. I know this for a fact

The technology is pretty interesting - I'd say it's definitely more about the novelty than the functionality... and really, this is a video game, not a corporate office - I expect novelty.
