Fixed the shield by rounding it a bit more as suggested before. I didnt even realize how goofy it looked until just a moment ago. You should agree it looks better than it was

I can't see why this game needs more elite items, as they are one of the elements ruining this game.

For Zormite's shield, rather than making the crab claw I already started, I decided on Lance's design. Most of us loved it when he first showed it, and it matches his armor which we've already chosen along with the helmet that I made with this shield in mind, so it fits.

Not including stats until we have a solid plan on how these items will be presented.

I think it should be no stats on em. They should just replace your items gfx and you could get the gfx of the items freely in whatever kingdom your in.

No stats would be too far.

No one would wear them if they don't get any benefit from it. Sure it looks nice to support your kingdom, but would you really give up -50 or more ac just to show you like something, only to reequip your other items back after wearing the Kingdom armor for a few minutes?

And even then, without stats, the gloves, belts and boots would be useless. No one sees those gfx except the person using them, they wouldn't show up at all.

I think he literally meant "No stats", as in you don't lose your good stats either. As in- a different system for changing armor looks without changing your equipment itself- basically what we already suggested, but maybe through another method.

Equipping it "over" the current equipped items? That still makes belts, gloves, bracers, and boots useless now. They need some kind of stat

I agree with the suggestion on being able to switch the normal GFX of items for kingdom GFX, thus keeping the same stats.

Someone stated before (To lazy to look) that this will keep people from favoring one kingdom over another for item stats.

They don't need stats.
Each kingdom would be perfectly fine if this was organized so that they each had to submit 1 shield, helmet, body-armour, cloak, and weapon.
That's already plenty.

Also, you should note: The belts gloves, bracers, and boots are already useless for the stated purpose(s) of this project. (Well, maybe not useless, but definitly not very helpful compared to the other equipment; How are you supposed to walk around and say "Hey, I'm a Zormite. Can't you tell by my gloves?" Somone could be dumb enough to troll me and say "Show off on trade-tables." Go ahead. I dare you.)


On another note, I still think there should be a pirate pistol of some sorts on GK. With limited/balanced capabilities, it would be perfectly fine. With some careful designing it would fit right in. But who would script it (if you want balance, you have to be sure you trust the person will deliver)? Or rather, who CAN script a new GK weapon that's not just a clone of the others, but has its own mechanics to it? (I still don't understand how that stuff works... regarding GK and what people can develop on their own without access to stuff they can't acquire.)

Blue I can DL them right off here. and as for the sword, I like the idea but it needs some detail work. Thinking of pirates I picture rustic and kinda raggedy, that sword is too clean cut.

I don't see why people always throw pistols out whenever it arises. There are cannons aren't there? Same technology, smaller package. I also can't think of many pirate stories/movies that didn't have them.

But if a whole new type of weapon were to be added, limiting to one kingdom would be unfair. Let guns be "RP invented" on Gk first, and then after some plain, weak, primitive guns circulate throughout the server, Pirate "inventors" can create a custom gun.

I wouldn't mind seeing guns on GK given the have short range capability and not fire endlessly. Also reload time would have to be quite extensive.
