Sunnyville - Hiring ALL!

Sunnyville is currently hiring every type of developer (NO NON DEVS!) except for NATs. It's currently located on my Esteria server. Yes, Esteria is gone. It was being veeeery sluggish in terms of work. Peeki made a whole server idea, he was first a NAT on Esteria, and Angelu said we could use the stuff he's made, so we already have the bodies done and part of the tiles :P. The idea is in the document

Ah, true Stan. I editted the first post the MUD system like I said is for items. Say you have multiple ones. Instead of using a clientr. flag we're putting it in the MUD. So far that's the only reason for it, plus the "levelling" system.
I hate seeing like 10,000 clientr. flags on someone so this will be easier lol

I like what this server is hoping to become Very nice!
But I have to admit that it is one hell of a job. I don't know how you planned Esteria but if you fail the same way it would be a real shame...

My definition of a MUD is a game system that overwrites Graal's default system with a style similar to most MMORPGs.

And no I am not obsessed with them, its usually the first thing to do though, and I'm a perfectionist.

I would suggest using clientr. flags for a low to mid level MUD system, using objects and such will just make your life harder.

No offense but there are to many ideas in the world. It is not a lack of ideas but a lack of good hard workers. Good luck with your server but I doubt this will go anywhere with all the servers that have died lately.

Back in old graal when people had an idea they did it.

Just letting you all know, there's only 2 months left of Dev Gold time...
We've gotten pretty far, with only 1 staff (Peeki). So far we have about 60% of the basic Item System done, and the basic Q-Menu is complete.

Another update:
Done the Item System. We just need a GAT and a few LATs.

An idea popped in my head about 1 hr ago though:
Instead of getting aGAT to make the tiles, maybe we could use GX's tiles, atleast for a bit.
Feedback on that?
Of course we don't plan to make GX, only use the tiles

I looked at the server idea. And It's great. Although it does seem to have to much going on. I reckon it could be a success if you get the right staff.

Here's an...
Improved "Phase" listing. It's pretty simple, not sure why we can't do it in maybe a year for the first town.

as others will be developed during phases 1 and 2.

Phase 2-
Major focus will be on getting the world created during this

house, dungeons, shops, hospitals. We will start inside the
levels first, and then create the outside of the Town to
link in to the Levels, this will allow the NATS and GATS
to start working on scripts and graphics. (shops, items,
player houses)


Phase 3-
Implementing the security to all our systems to prevent
hackers, and a upgrade of our systems, like hp, to get
poison effects. Stun, confused etc. Lats and nats will do
their thing still finishing up bits and peices of things
around the place. Getting new gani's making things better,
getting more items drawn up


Phase 4-
Major focus will be polishing up all the server, fixing all
the minor bugs and balancing of monsters and etc, at this
point. Also maybe develop a basic tutorial for all the new
members.. here is a idea of a tutorial... the player starts
in a dream.. it shows basic concepts of the all the system,
and giving practical tasks and guiding the player through
to achieve them. Then the player wakes up in his bedroom,
where he can explore the world for himself.


Phase 5-
Working with the public for more input on balancing of
monsters, stats, items, and finding what players want more
of. While working on a new town with new caps and repeat of
Phase 2 onwards.

We got a GFXer who's working on the modern tiles, and almost done
They look actually pretty good in relation to a REAL city.

That's just the current temp level. There are MANY tiles in the tileset to experiment with.

Only staff is Peeki, PlRAT (who gets on occassionaly), Killa Be, and me.

Though Levelers would be helpful so we have a bit of work done for the second phase. I put together a 12x14 level GMAP (first town) and filled it all in with the grass tiles, so if any Levelers would like to join you still can.
But yes we DO need some Scripters.
