Isn't the idea of "pet-battles" an alternate system as oppose to "another weapon"?
The idea of having pets aide you in PvP was more of a side idea.
I guess I didn't make it clear, but the main idea I had was as everyone called it a "pokemon-like" thing. So theoretically, a level 20 player could defeat a level 110 player (because there pets would have seprate exp and skills, etc, from the player...). What I also had in mine was a lower level cap so it would be like a "minor leauge" of fighting. This way, you'll max level/stat/skills(whatever pets woul have), but if new items (or even spells) would continue to be released, players will keep trying to get better items.
(Edit: I think I understand... are you saying that it's the same because the pets leveling, gaining items, mimics exactly what we already do on GK? Still...please explain so i have a better understanding)
Actually, with these ideas, this is getting similar to a whole other idea i've had for the longest time (one that i believed had potential to be the basis of an economy like hats were to g2k1's best times, but more gameplay involved,... but i've always been too stubborn to release it due to my confidence in its potential... yeah, i know, it's a stupid attitude), but have never seen done.
So now I think I'll incorporate my ideas from before into this... I'll repost here later when I better-organize those ideas, and see what everyone thinks.
