yeah i asked stefan to do some real working layers (tiles over tiles) like in the rpgmaker so you dont have to do graphics or extra tiles for some tile combinatios

(But have a pre-caching bug on gmaps which I ask stefan to fix and will be in v5)

Wouldn't 2 layers double the filesize of the level?

That's not that much, hell, scripts in the level can add much more than another layer would.

Yes and no,
Tilelayers can be added to a level without GraalScript but you are right, the level editor doesn't support it. The only way to do it is to either use an online level editor (that's scripts) or to directly edit the .nw file it self. I just do the latter of the two. Example:

Today I saw guest accounts on the Login server, these are unavaible to the public yet so I know some sort of development is going on. :P
