Elk this is nice planet. I like your idea to make planet looking like he earth, but still different. Best is to see so many confused ppl. trying to search for the continents.

I don't like it either, the blue pallete needs be way more saturated, and as Tyrial said, needs some AA, but I guess you can't put that in until you've made the background (if it's part of a logo).

Meh, it's not all that good.
I don't think planets shine like that.
And it does need some AA.
It also lacks any kind of atmosphere and the way the continents are shaded is weird. You're already using quite a lot of colours, so you may as well have gone a little bit further and used a few more to make the continents look better.

The image would look loads better if you did a better job with the dithering of the shading with the water. A sphere would not create that effect. Regardless of what the surface was like. Because it's from such a distance that you'd only see it as a perfect sphere.

even if it is supposed to be earth.. i can see it being earth.. but i also cant see it being earth... no ice caps.. no deserts etc

It does NOT need AA
and quite alot of colors were needed to make it like that.
Dithering isnt needed in this piece aswell
