I understnad if you disagree with this i am not in love with it either. Maybe we can have a cabal against the idea. I wouldn't mind it and would consider it fun as long as it was a different server seeing as I love zone and have neverf found it boring. WEll except for when I tr to bug osomene for events like vulcan.

Just because you like the idea does not mean it's a great idea and should be executed. Also just because he put a lot of thought, time and work into this does not mean it's a good idea.

I have to agree with the "non-decent" people and say that this is a horrible idea, and the reason is simple (and was stated a few posts above me)

Zone is an arcade style game. A game where you just jump in and play and jump out without having to worry about leveling up and obtaining stronger armor and items. Turning it into an RPG is like turning Street Fighter into a puzzle game. While the idea might seem omgkilleramazingawesome because you're combining two concepts, it doesn't exactly mean it will end up that great.

Anybody who shows such a lack of maturity shouldn't even be allowed to have their opinion be heard. Come back and post when you're not going to call people "twats" and put someone down because you and 3 other people don't like their opinion.

I propsed as a different server. Change is good so yes make a world like that just don't killl 2 good servers to do it. Im not entierelyl iking this idea because I see a large lack of how they would carry it out.

It's still a stupid idea. It's like saying yeah I want GK in a log on and own mode. You log in and have a selection of different swords and such and kill eachother.

It doesn't work that way.

Guns are made for shooting people in the face, crotch, etc, and it generally doesn't take a whole ton of bullets to turn someone into a pile of bloody mush.

It takes a lot of power in your arms to beat someone to death with a piece of wood.

Guns = Many oppotunities for a challenge.
No guns = Few opportunities for a challenge.

Essentially, you'd be eliminating the challenge of people being as good or better than you, since levels would easily become leverage in a fight. So, way down the road, you would get bored of it even faster, and quit sooner.

Maybe just make an RPG planet on Zone? Then when you leave your stats from Iricia, Koth, and all the others turns back to what it was. And if you re-enter the RPG planet you get those stats back. That way a new server doesn't have to be made but there is a new style of play in Zone.

Thats what everyone has been saying for the last 5 pages.

But, I don't like this idea for a few reasons. The idea of a Gun RPG is interesting (Maybe not good, but interesting) and if you think Zone is repetitive, think about it like this.

Lets say you have maxed out stats. On current Zone, that just means you can shoot more bullets then someone (Ammo) or have better guns (Buyables and event guns). Now, most of Zone's playerbase is trial players. Now that you have your maxed out stats that you have worked oh so hard for, you walk up to those weak, unleveled trials.

And you shoot them. You inflict damage, their bullets don't do anything because they are weak, unleveled trials. I mean, on current Zone, you can walk in and get owned by almost anyone (Or maybe thats just me

) and, on this second Zone, you don't. You can only get owned by those five or six other people who have the awesome stats that you do, and wow! Even less challenging!

If you don't understand the picture I painted there, go see Draenin in the medical office and his drill.

Roleplaying game, modeled around guns is not a good idea, and that's basicaly all I have against it. Oh and also the whole accuracy thing; Having your bullets centralized is sometimes a bad thing, you know. Add some moves into the server and I might agree with you on a very small ammount, but I still don't find this idea very apealing to me. At any rate I'm not going to get very into it, I don't have any gold left and I'm not upgrading anytime soon so it's none of my concern, just one thing to say: Bye bye Muramasa

You guys are very narrow minded. Just because the title has the word "Zone" in it, next to "RPG" jump-starts you into "l0l ****e idae" mode. All great ideas start off as something and just because the idea was originally based on Zone becoming an RPG gun server, doesn't mean it will.

Sayian's concept could obviously and easily begin as a new server instead of taking away Zone's key gameplay. Think about it. The idea isn't that bad. You just have to see it in a different light. Don't go throwing realistic comebacks at me with "lol irl hwo cud u lvl up wit gunz?! taeks no physical powre". GRAAL CAN BE WHATEVER THE **** IT WANTS TO BE! That's what Stefan and Unixmad created it for (I presume :P)! Just because the idea sounds dodgy on paper doesn't mean it's going to suck. It's a crazy idea, and that's exactly why it should be put into action!

Hey, if it flops, it flops. But with the proper care and dedication we could have something special right infront of us. Just look at UN, what kind of plot is that? It's a load of jumbled **** thrown together, yet it is successful as hell. I know it's noob friendly, but if we just think about the situation nearly every problem thrown at us could be overcome. Just give something a chance and see it in a positive light and think about all the little possibilities it could hold.

But myself, I am not too keen on something like a big city with guns and randomly blasting at people and acting gangsta, go to Era if you want that. I'm just think about different cities, getting different jobs, police, army, RAF, Navy (lol), make a living off of whatever you can find to do. E.G. Fishing, hitman whatever. New ideas for jobs could be submitted. I'm not talking about such a gun crazy server, in fact, you could enjoy the server without having guns at all!

Referring back to the army etc of what I said. You could join a certain city and fight for it. This is where all the crazy gun play can happen. But with some nice tactics and having to rely on teammates. Random situations you can be thrown into. You have something important to deliver back to your city that could give an edge in the war. Different maps can be used for those different situations. A Z axis could be introduced. When you crawl behind sandbags or whatever the bullets do not hit you, but standing up, they do. And when I read back over this later what I'm saying may seem confusing, but just reply to key points and I'll try and smooth it out. :P

You know, I've actually reconsidered this idea. I think its alright, and really well planed out, but it wouldn't fit Zone. Zone just wouldn't work being PvsP while being an RPG, and if PvsP was taken out, Zone would be ruined. Zone would turn into a game where the player whos online more wins.
