There's nothing terribly impressive about Ancient Bamboo and it's comparatively high weapon speed makes in inferior to FID/ID and Dagger of Fortune. Brad just acts like it's the best like I used to lie and say Gold Shovel could do cool stuff.

Best stats, best damage, an elemental attack type.

When the first weapons came out (AKA before prepping) it was generally accepted that Diamond Sword was the best because it had Dam+9 (The highest of any weapon at that time.) This was untrue, however, because the Naginata could strike much faster (and strike twice using the spin technique), meaning that it could do more damage over the same period of time compared to Diamond Sword despite having a Dam+ of only 7. Prepping just makes weapon speed even more important as IWDs cause the percentage difference between two weapons with the same number of IWDs to decrease even further. Thus why daggers, despite being the items with the lowest dam+ are the best weapon types.

Err, I can probally beat you with a sword, it all depends. But using the bamboo is not exactly hard, once you are good at it, it actually is a very good attack type.

Plus Dex+2, Str+1 just elevate it completely.

Ancient Bamboo is the best weapon in the game, hands down. It's just hard to use, compared to daggers.

I'm still confused. People in this thread talk about the things to do to the weapon but don't explain how to do it

I just want to know about all those things.. blessing, preparing, lessening weapon weight, adding int bonus, etc etc. how to do it and how much you can do it etc etc.

Yea, it's pretty hard to use. Takes away from it's leetness, since you have a disadvantage with it.

I suppose if you know how to use it there's no issue, but if I had it I wouldn't want to have to spend a week "training" .

That would defeat the purposes of most weapons then and you could load up 1 weapon with tons of attack types.

By the way, Kyden also blesses Ogma +7 for a brutal.

bamboo is so easy to use

the side attack makes it better than most weapons since I can basically stand still in a fight and attack from 3/4 angles

I have been using it for a while so I guess I got used to its domination
