I can't remember a good war to be honest. All battles are done by sea, invading other boats etc.
Why would K-mode cause a conflict? I don't understand..

K-mode would cause conflict because wars could happen in a fun manner. One person couldn't dominate the battlefield and everyone could enjoy it.
It's like this, lets say there are two belligerent nations: The United States of America and the Duchy of Luxemburg. Obviously America would win the war so Luxemburg wont invade America. However lets say America and Luxemberg were totally equal in every aspect, and Luxemberg wanted to invade America. Wouldn't they?
K-mode is similiar to chess, everyone is equal however how you play out your plan will forge the victor and the defeated. B-mode is like a demolition derby where you're in a '67 chevy car that will hardly start (much less go foward) and you're against that two story monster truck.

But not to replace b mode, that would take away the point of the current system. (can someone who is suggesting this say whether k-mode would only be used for wars?)

K-mode went away late 2003 or early 2004 methinks. K-mode was shown by the icon over the player's head (those icons in the GUI). And K-mode would be used for roleplaying events such as wars. It also requires both kingdoms to know a war is going to happen so they can make sure people are online.
