The ascension would indeed be the end of the game, more or less, but believe me, it will be designed to be utterly impossible, and if by wonder anyone actually escapes, they deserve that cookie, but all in all, they will prolly just get tossed back in the abyss, but quite a bit more powerful than before, and the exit would be moved so they couldn't taint the world with an uber godly populace by telling them the way out.

Still, you sacrifice a virgin, not 50 virgins... so the story of sacrificing this person to the gods wouldn't work in a mmorpg environment.

Yes it would, these gods seek a being of great valor, cunning and speed to become the next warrior in thier godly arsenal, to become immortal, live forever in the realms of the gods, people are so thrilled at the prospect of becoming immortal and wealthy beyond measure, they are practically throwing themselves into the abyss to try thier luck.

Quit trying to break the very loose WIP storyline and critique the server idea.
