On-topic: If Stefan and/or Unixmad want good documentation and tutorials for their scripting language then they should be prepared to throw up some cash. I'll wager none of the people capable of producing such things are willing to do so for free.

Actually I do the things I do for Graal purely because I enjoy the game. Its the same reason I make music, because I have a love for it. Whilst much of the world revolves around greed, as your rightly suggest, not everyone values money in the same way.

Making music is usually more fun than documenting a scripting language. Wanting to be paid for doing work isn't greedy. The kind of project we're discussing is very time-consuming and most people wouldn't bother with it unless they were being compensated for their time.

Look, if you go through with this and produce a full, well-written, useful document then I'll be happy that I was proved wrong. I just don't think it's likely.

For once, I totally agree. With all the stuff I do and then work and school, it's rather hard to pull out time. I am planning on and I've slightly started documenting the new engine a bit, but it's really hard to pull yourself apart and write the type of documents that are needed/wanted.
