It's one of the worst.

Levels are crap, quests are boring, npcs are decent, graphics suck, gameplay sucks, and the server is full of "oldbies" with huge egos.

No. Every server on Graal is horrible anymore. None will ever be good until they are ran by people who can present themself as 'professionals'. 90% of Graal staff is corrupt. If you don't like what I say, close your eyes and don't read it, don't be afraid of the truth.

Graal Classic is the best place with quests, you have to give it that. They do not improve their levels because they want to keep the old classic level feeling? All in all, it's pretty good.

It's more of...it doesn't suck...but it's one of the good idea of the original servers. Every other server doesn't really have a story line of something that keeps you occupied that long.

I like the server, it's pretty fun but i don't think it is the best, the bests in my opinion are Graal Kingdoms, Graal2001 and Oasis (even under construction).

I'll say it's the best, but my opinion is blatantly biased... although there is the whole restructuring/recreation for NPC server going on, and so if you don't like the server, don't feel afraid to tell me how to make it better!

Addition: It's the best for Adventure style play, but if you won't Role Play, I cannot disagree that there are better servers...

On the classic list it certainly is by far the best playerworld in almost every category.

Content wise most of the Graal Servers are better than 5 years ago but Staff wise I agree it is an issue. But look at it this way , how can you get "Professional acting " Staff on a non-paid Staff? There are some who are devoted to the game and the correct way to run it but normally are overshadowed by the majority who do not share the same ideals. Moonie and I ran Npulse without corrurption by running it strictly to the Graal rules but all that did was alienate us and make it hard to find Staff because they didn't get the "perks" they could get from other servers.

I have noticed over the last 5 years there are those who screamed we were too hard with the rules are now wishing there were more servers that did follow more closely to the Graal rules. It does make for more enjoyable playing.

Corrupt staff are more fun, even as a player. I enjoyed seeing Chris on 2k1 go into dragon form and create havoc in the market.

First things first, anybody who says 2k2 is the best server should be casterated.

Second things second, yes it is. Sure, it's not anymore, but that's because, *MAYBE*, nobody goes there anymore because they're too busy playing the evercrack clone?

Third things last, if Stefan and Unix didn't make 2k1, Graal would have been so much better. If they didn't make 2k2, Graal would have been so much better.

The fact is, Graal is a game based heavily on the community, and it seems like the high staff are doing everything to ruin the community. W.T.G.

None of the servers today are any good. Everyone strives for graphical look more then anything. This brings a problem with slower machine users on Graal. Such as me for instance. I have to disable Direct X controls on Graal because my computer only puts out 450mhz of speed and only 8mbs of video frames. My ram is 256, so that isn't my problem.

Until the Graal program can be built with a better code layout, then it's not going to be popular. People have developed Graal clones that run faster and smoother on slower machines as if using Graal with 2ghz. One for example would be the Ancients RPG game. I forgot the whole name of it though, and I believe LiquidIce was developing that game.

In order to make Graal run better on slower machines, the program needs to be split into different exes.

Graal 2D and Graal3 D need to be different programs, not bundled together making one large heavy program. As for RemoteControl, that one is already good enough, it's orginized well, but could be improved.

There is a way to make the Effects that require Direct X to run with less memory usage. Go look for it.

The smaller the program, the better it loads and the better it preforms.

Right. Graal is an oh-so professional game and atmosphere. I mean really, all major games nowa' days start off with stealing graphics from vintage Nintendo classics.

How silly of me.

If I want to play a game, I want to have fun. I don't want to be confined to rules created by a few select people who are ignorant of pleasure.

I think Stefan is using a computer with about those stats for G3d? Anyway, get a better video card, or stick to those servers with more conservative looking servers.

None of which has yet managed to get as popular as Graal. I wonder why.

Which may not be discussed here, even though it is dead, so please refrain from mentioning it again.

Speed is not direcly coupled with memory usage, therefore this makes no sense.

Unbundled, they would be two heavy programs, which are more difficult to maintain and advance; porting changes to the common engine back and forth between exes. Also, I doubt there would be any performance improvement at all.

As Spark said, the quests on Classic are IMO the best, however, the levels do suck (still IMO) even though they once didn't when Classic was the main server.
