I think its an interesting contest but since it requires some knowledge about rope physics it would be good to also add some links to sites where you can learn about those physics, and eventually put a little example script.

All the contest is a really good idea, I think the contest exists to learn, since when you are forced to make something that you think youre not ready to do you learn alot. Objectives make you smart =) So about physics or math problems that anyone can have to make it, you can also pm me... if I can help in something I will be happy to help you..
