If you haven't even made a story in a few weeks than I will say right now you aren't ready to make a server, thanks for wasting your money and our time.

I wouldn't express that much importance in a story tbh.

I'd say the success of a server strongly depends on their ability to make a fun (rapid if possible) prototype of the game-play and then being able to expand upon it and provide a decent amount of content (replay-ability helps too) for it.
