The Idea could be implemented well if done right.

The cutting power/fuse box thing seemed cool back when Sales showed us the fuse box and Alfonso was gonna use it somehow.

I believe, if it wasn't pure black, but a haze overshadow and the player had a maze raceish sight range around them it would work. Then, since there's lights on the walls of all the bases have those also emit similar sight range circles. This would give a fair visual of the entire level and work in-hand with the mini-map for the Gmap bases allowing decent playability.

Also if implemented, as said in the first post, you could make the NV Goggles that already exist as a EC item work in these situations. Make them require batteries and go to town with night operations.

If everything is executed correctly, I don't really see a problem with this if it is only a situational thing (someone who owns the base can cut the power maybe once every 30-60 minutes... it lasts 3-5 minutes or until someone repairs the fuse box by grabbing it for 15 seconds).

Would be fun and spice it up imo, a lot funner than the current +1 bullet damage and +25healing for base owners (seriously; that's overpowered).
