Now, to be a developer (IE: Have RC on ANY server), you would already have a Gold subscription as Gold is required to use RC. That is why there'd be no sense at aiming it at the status of one's subscription.

that isn't even a reason, that's just saying "we're just not going to aim at account status for the sake of not doing so, because developers will OBVIOUSLY have gold"
