That means the levels pack needs to be updated with fixed PNG/MNGs, as many of the emoticons are bugged.

Since i fear the inevitable downfall of 2.x the following things bug me:

Takes a while to load (all my drivers are updated)(What does it have to load anyway? The entire webgifs folder?).

Text box and button outlines are too thick [solved] - changable with skin

Cursor is not optional

No customizable font, only size of font.

If you open the serverlist on a PW, you can't get back to it without reconnecting

Alt doesn't move the cursor to the send button anymore, no more alt, space to send PMs. (REALLY BAD)

Can't check accounts from player list

There's an empty line that floats around in player list, i don't know if it's a player because i can't check his account. (Too easy to decieve. IE: staff set name to *Stefan, etc)

Alt+F4 doesn't close PMs, closes the game.

"Language" select on the startup screen is right centered, as compare to the account/password/nick fields...

can't resize window (VITAL. If i can't be on aim and graal at the same time i would hardly play.)

After each close of the game it brings the playerlist back up in the center of the screen.

"0" key no longer pauses the game

Swords don't damage the player on Classic.

Cursor sometimes "lags" briefly after other things are happen (IE: Just sent a PM)

Clicking taskbar button on windows XP doesn't minimize. No minimize at all! (REALLY BAD)

Up doesn't let you resend past chat lines (MOST IMPORTANT TO FIX)

Seems sparring zone doesn't affect it, lose AP anyway. Could be server.

Can't see ANY cursor over the X button.

I'll add more later, the list has all my major concerns in it.

(ADD RESIZE, PLEASE)

Um... when did it ever? Unless you're talking about the Tab key rather than Alt.

Of course it does. Those PM windows are not window windows. (Err.. hehe).

On the first load, when nothing is in memory, it's slow for me as well. Opening it after it has first been opened is faster, however.

Wrong? He's correct, it doesn't minimize. I can imagine that being quite annoying as well. Imagine trying to get to your desktop and not be able to due to it being in the way. Oh... "Show Desktop" works, but that's inconvenient.

As for the graal loading time, It takes about 5, sometimes 10 minutes to load for me. I have a lot of stuff in my webgifs, heads, etc. However, when I open Graal 1.39 it loads in an instant >_>;

I have uploaded fixed emoticons to most servers though, so when you use them online they should be updated automatically. But i will also update the level pack if its a problem

About the other problems:
Most of them are about the style. You can change them in the common/ui/themes/ folders, edit the .th files. You can also replace the gfx for the mouse. Graal v3.1/3D will have a nicer standard theme.

Hurting on classic? I just tested, got killed like always I also killed someone, so I don't know where your problem is. The noplayerkilling thing works too.

It's a general problem with Windows 2000/XP I guess, e.g. opening a folder in the explorer takes ages. Graal scans all subfolders so that it can find files easier, but the first time Graal is started it takes some time. We will try to find ways to avoid that / make it take less long. Graal v2.21 has the same problem though.

File indexing must be turned off anyway, it's just slowing the hard drive down and reducing it's life time. When turning it off then I feel some speed up, but opening of folders or starting Graal still takes some time.

To Ramirez: When you have some exes and zips and images in the folder then its usually quite slow, or when you have many files in it (>5000)

On G2K1, they use the new sword system thing. But, when you go on using V3, it uses the old sword and stuff so you swing like, 3 times as fast, and move 3 times as fast, as you normally should.

Graal seems to randomly freeze up on Linux. I'm not sure if this is my drivers or not. I can play other OpenGL applications just fine without a hitch, and I can still move my mouse around/perform functions whenever Graal freezes. Using XKill does work, but it doesn't, because after trying to find what's causing the horrible lag on my machine, I found that I was running 3 Graal's after deliberately trying to find what the problem was (performing multiple XKill's). Doing a direct kill (kill <process number>) seems to work, though.

That's probably a problem with the sound, you might need to disable other sound applications before starting a game.

About #s and #v: about what game are you speaking? We use that tons of times on Graal Kingdoms, when there is a problem then only in a special situation, so please explain the problems more exactly, and possibly on the bugs forum.

Yep, I had talked to him about this and suggested disabling sound, he was quite gawked at how it stopped freezing

Basically #s wasn't reading the string, instead of display the content of the string it was displaying the string, e.g:

NPC Code:

setstring this.test,Happy Christmas!;
message #s(this.test);

It was showing #s(this.test) instead of "Happy Christmas!".
Also don't worry, i don't know what was happening but I re-installed and the problem is fixed.

I want my num 0 pausing back, but aparently Stefan or somebody mentioned font can be changed in the skinning... Why can't we just make it an option again?

It's possible to assign several keys to the same action, also to make the font configurable in the option window, will try to add that to the next version.

Some suggestions;

1.) The option to disable/enable the playerlist (I've wanted this for a long time, possibly added in with enablefeatures)
2.) The option to change the cursor image (There was a way before that I found, but when you went to dialogs from the F'keys, then the cursor wouldn't show period)
3.) Total access to the keyboard, last time I tried, the arrow keys couldn't be singled out with keycodes
4.) A free year of gold for me (This would be a big improvement)

2.) It should be able by editing the skins. \graal2001\common\ui\themes
3.) bug?
4.) Me too!

Hmmm found a problem with v3, the horses are not displaying (they are there, and I can ride it and see it then, but I don't see them standing there)
Well... I don't know about whether or not anybody else has noticed this. With horses, there are a couple of other bugs. You can walk on chair tiles with them, and the speed messes up often when you're turning. Although I like how it is if you're warped onto water from land or land from water the horse doesn't get stuck until you change levels.

The cursor doesn't show when you go to drag/close the window... That's somewhat bothersome.

Another annoying bug, in many levels on classic, there's like a huge block blocking your movement... I think it might be because they're using setimgpart on pics1.png... but i'm not sure since I can't see the coding... maybe they lack a setshape, but I don't know what that would change.
Level examples: gobanka1.graal, level23.graal

A new version will be released in a few minutes anyway so it's not a problem

In v3.04 the mouse cursor is handled better, you can also resize the window. The movement code is changed back to the classic onwall check.
