Compiled Level format

It would be nice if we could export our levels to a just playable level format(as training)... Maybe .gjp or something...
So the scripters, and the other players could show on forums ur scripts or something, and ask them for opinions without post the script. Example: Stefan could ask us, what we think about some Graal2k2 scripts..
A compiled format would be the same copiled used for Delphi, C,etc... It loses alot of data as Comments and others things.. And it could be compacted, a 60Kb level is 7Kb compacted X.x
Maybe we could add Images and sounds on the level and it be just one file..
I dunno, its just an idea =) do u like it?

^_^

Actually, I like this idea. There have been instances (across all sorts of servers) where somebody with a high RC downloaded the server's best scripts and got a job somewhere else using them. A compiled level would not only help you protect your property, but it would also make for smaller files. Great idea, Amon-Ra. =)

If your clever, there is always SOME way to break an encyption and steal scripts. If this is made, when you post this stuff you have to accept that their is a posibility SOMEONE will crack the code (Which would lead to no G2k1 and 2k2 scripts being posted EVER)

If someone knows how to do this, they would know more than enough to script the NPC by him/herself.

nah, some people can be brilliant programmers but suck as gscript, it is unlikely thought that that could be true
and say if someone scripts a decrypter for the levels, he would give it to his friends and eventually end up to someone who will steal the scripts

I think different.. There are so much things that could be hacked and they werent... If the programmer be thinking about the hackers, so they won and you cant make anything.. And many programs and stuffs have this and they werent hacked...

.code allows you to load a level online without having to download the whole level every time you enter one
and I believe there isn't a .code decrypter, what I could really use though is a level generator that does .nw levels or a converter from .graal-.nw without resaving the levels

Right, but what kind of information does it contain? Does it store things like NPCs, tiles, or what?

Id say the opposite, NPCs only. Because when you upload a new levels. The npcs from the old levels sometimes appear on the new level untill you update it.
