Well, you really shouldn't be afraid of straight pieces and some variations. Your cliffs look rather boring and somewhat awkward.

Edit: Maybe as a short reference, I usually do cliffs like this:

It looks like the water is on top of the cliff. Try using a straight cliff so you don't see the other side.

I didn't say to use only straight cliffs, but even that looks better than your original approach.
